Would you please select a squad of men that we can send to assist Thomas maintain control over the heart of the forest. I would like the men outfitted and ready to go tomorrow morning. I have no idea what this Dacon character will try, and I’d like for us to be prepared. We lost some good men to the forest and I want to make sure that doesn’t happen again. While not entirely trustworthy, Thomas has proved a decent ally so far, I would like to stay on good terms with him. I will instruct someone else to get the other supplies ready. I’d like you to have a secondary squad prepared so that in a few days time we can rotate the men so that they do not have to remain in the forest for long stretches of time.

On a separate note, Tristan and I were going to do some sparring in the practice yard this evening but the cursed hip wound has changed my plans. I would greatly appreciate it if you could fill in for me. He’s been doing well but I want him to get some more practice with his footwork.
