Aidalos, also known as “the Executioner of Londinium”, is a Malkavian Elder, the childe of Rex Noctem and a walker on Via Caeli. Aidalos is arguably one of the most respected (or feared) Madmen in Britannia, at least among those hailing from the reign of Mithras. He received his Embrace in the court room of the Living God himself, in AD 133, and quickly entered his service (as told to him by God). In AD 231 he was appointed as Satrap, in charge of the areas centered on Isca Dumnoniorum. He became known as an unusually ruthless Satrap, quick to anger an exact harsh punishments for relatively minor crimes. He gained many enemies, and in a matter of decades, Mithras was flooded by requests by his vassals to have Aidalos replaced. Eventually, he acknowledged their requests, but instead of having the Madman exiled or destroyed, he decided to put his talents and reputation to good use, as the Scourge of Londinium (a position that recently had become vacant) in AD 297. He has since remained in this position, throughout the reigns of both Mithras and Lucius Varro. After the sacking of the city in AD 491 by Aelle, Aidalos disappeared for a short period, and returned a few decades later, obviously to retain his duties. He has since taken it to himself to punish any “false pretenders” to the Throne of Londinium, and is responsible for most of the “accidents” that have befallen newly appointed Prince’s throughout the 6th century. Nowadays he is rarely seen, and since the location of his Haven isn’t known, no one can say for certain that he is still active. Since AD 597 (when the last “pretender” met Final Death), no one has dared to prove he isn’t.
