Corax is a name whispered in fear among Scions across Britannia. An Elder of uncertain age or gender, she is a legendary Savage, who ravaged towns and cities during the Roman era. In the 2nd and 3rd centuries, the mere mention of her name was enough to cause Ancillae to start trembling. She was feared equally for her savagery and bloodthirst as she was for her cunning and seductively charismatic leadership, which rallied young Cainites from nearly every clan to her cause. Some scholars even disputed her alleged being a childe to Bodhmall, pointing at her strength as someone even closer to Caine, perhaps in fact being the sire of Bodhmall instead. Others pointed out her savagery and mockery of every Tradition by explaining her strength through the forbidden draught of the Amaranth.
Whichever the case, she allegedly met her end near the city of Eboracum in AD 244, when she was assaulted by no less than five Satraps (Lady Uxia, Aidalos, Bricius, Caius Tadius Lupus and Claudius Fulvo), acting on behalf of the Throne of Londinium. Even outnumbered five to one, she managed to slay Fulvo, and send both Bricius and Lupus into torpor before admitting defeat. Persistent rumors indicate that even this wasn’t enough to slay the menace, and that the remaining two Satraps only managed to force her into torpor. Neither has spoken of the incident since then. Since Uxia isn’t available for questioning anymore, Aidalos is probably the only one who knows the truth.
However, in the recent upheaval of Savages gathering in the Kingdom of Bernicia, the name of Corax is being whispered again. If the rumors were to be true, and Corax is alive and awake once again, the Cainites of Britannia would surely face a dark future indeed…
