The ceremony of the Chevron- A ranking priest of Tyr has the spiritual and legal power to award a Chevron to anybody that he or she deems worthy. The chevron is a sign of legal authority, much like a Marshall in the American west. So he has the ability to deputize anybody to aid in any legal disputes. The Chevron is a gold symbol of Tyr, the scales of Justice with a slightly bent bar set below it. The person wearing the Chevron must wear it at all times. In general a weapon is also presented to the person and is usually named by either the priest or person whom is receiving the weapon. Many times the weapon has a history and a name, so some of the weapons may have multiple names and often the receipent is able to unlock various powers by accomplishing specific tasks at specific times. The Chevron may also request funds but they need to be paid back to the church and need to be able to justify the expense. The church may also give funds if the church elders deem it necessary.
