Several weeks ago, a princess arrived to my clan; the head of the Atlantean clan put me in charge of protecting Nymphadora. Basically, I am to protect Nymphadora with my life, whether it cost my own life or not. However, I had no idea what I would run into through the group’s travel down to Mexico. Within the group, there is a were-panther that obviously dislikes me… Why? I have no idea. The group is rather interesting, and almost godlike, all of them. A young hatchling dragon is among them, a fairie, two cyber knights, a soldier (He seems to be the one in charge, from my observations), and a few others along with the princess.
Shortly after a run in with the Splugorth and healing an injured fairy, we headed down to our destination, where Nymphadora’s parents are held deep into the vampire territory. Wade had the APC keep close to the coast for the entire trip. Saruman had gone off to the ocean to swim, only to return quickly and ready to leave. Something must’ve scared the dragon, so going into the water was a definite no-no. Nymphadora has been asleep for days and it had concerned more for a while, along with the fact another adventurer, Marcos kept attempting to stick Nymphadora with these needles (each needle breaking within the process). Other than that, the trip was quiet, we hadn’t run into any vampires for five days; almost scary, but relieving at the same time.
During the fifth day, a large beastlike thing came out of the water and it was longer than Saruman! The…whatever it was wore dragon scale armor and it ignored the rest of us and looked as if it was going for Saruman. From its hand, a long fire whip appeared and we all knew this was not good. The cyber knight, Rayne, was already in his armor since it was night and prepared as the rest of us were getting ready. I had managed to summon the tattoo of my T-Rex. After I had summoned the thirty foot tall T-Rex, I heard Wade say, “I’m staying in the APC.” The second before the thing appeared, Nux had made some sort of herbal tea to give to Nymphadora and she woke up. Nux concerns me slightly, but managing to wake up the princess with tea really, really concerns me even more. Not just that, but she also tried to speak to the monstrosity. After it seemed to not want to cooperate whatsoever and whipped Saruman, everyone was ready to fight. Rayne had struck it with lightning, and it didn’t look as if it was taking any damage from that, along with Saruman’s fire. This, I knew, would be difficult to fight.
The moment Nymphadora woke up, and with a wave of her hand, knocked the large beast out of the sky and onto the ground… Why am I protecting her? Did I do something wrong in the clan to be punished like this? So far, on this trip, I haven’t had to protect anything. I just hope it doesn’t turn out this way for the rest of the trip, or I will be returning home telling the head of the clan that there was no need of sending me…at all.
The APC shot out carpet of adhesion at the tranced beast, preventing it from moving. Nymphadora, Saruman, Rayne, Wade, and I stepped out of the APC and approached it. Wade had beheaded the demon, which we finally found out what it was, and kept clear of the body until the adhesion wore down. The minute, no, scratch that, the second the adhesion wore off, the majority of the group had scavenged for bones before the body disappeared back into hell.
While searching the demon’s remains, I found a six foot long blade with etchings on the wavy shaped sword. Even after activating my Eye of Knowledge, I couldn’t understand the etchings. The handle looked like it was made out of a black and white ivory and on the pommel were beautifully crafted skulls. At about 1/3 up the blade, the sword was shaped as sword catchers. Nymphadora found a key, while Rayne found a book, with a lock on it. With the help of Nymphadora, the key managed to open the book. I don’t know what was in it, but soon after flipping the pages, Rayne quickly closed it, seemingly not wanting to deal with whatever was in it. Saruman was trying to read a scroll, so I decided to go investigate it and with my Eye of Knowledge still activated, I hoped to have the capability to read it. Looking at the scroll, the vellum was written in dried blood. Reading it aloud, I informed the others that it mentioned the name of what more than likely was the demon, and that it needs to track and kill Saruman. Finally, the scroll was signed by Camatoz.
After offering to object read the scroll, everyone noticed Rayne’s face fell and he soon started breaking out in cold sweat. For a long time, he could not speak and mainly worked on collecting himself, before he told us about what he had seen. Camatoz beat this tentacle thing into submission, controlled the vampires, captured Nympha’s mother, and recognized him as this inky blob. Once the investigating was over, we all gathered back up and continued our way down the coast line once more.
