Character Creation Guidelines
The following are rules for building your character.
- Character creation will take place during the first meeting.
- Use Method #1 when creating your character
- Roll 8d10, re-rolling 1s, 2s, or 3s
- Replace the lowest number with a “9”
- Arrange these numbers as desired among the attributes
- Determine your appearance score using one of the following methods
- Select a number between 4 and 7 for your attribute or
- Roll a d10 and re-roll a result of 1 or 2
- All characters must be human
- Character points may not be spent on “Wealthy,” “Artifact” or any other advantages or disadvantages that don’t make sense.
- Characters will begin as level “zero”
- This will give you 400 development points for character creation
- At the end of the first chapter, when experience is awarded, characters will achieve level 1 and will get the remaining 200 DP.
- Beginning Equipment:
- Ragged cloths
- Shackles
- Limitations
- Secondary Abilities
- Must reflect the training one has received before capture or while enslaved.
- Magic
- Limit to path level
- Secondary Abilities
- All characters have been slaves at the Black Water Mine for at least the past three years.
Keep in mind your character’s personality and motivations. To make the game flow better, I would like a list of the character’s virtues, vices, goals, and fears. I would also like “wish lists” from the players for what they would like to see in the future. Include this on your character sheet please.
