Episode 2 Part 1

8 AM, Andromeda, Jane, and V.S. arrived at 8:30AM, and Charles and
David arrived at 8:45 AM, all carrying similar Manilla envelopes. V.S.
asked if anyone knew anything about Lazarus Jacobs. Andromeda
re-emphasized Lazarus had no digital footprint, Terri and Jane
revealed that Lazarus had left the apt he shared with Risa Hirano
for parts unknown, and Charles revealed he had been unable to magically
track or discover anything about Lazarus as well. The group then waited
for Lazarus’ arrival.
At 2 minutes to 9, Lazarus arrived, accompanied by two men wearing white turtlenecks beneath their

suist, as well as Saundra Smythe. He went and got himself a cup of coffee, and while the others sat at a separate table, he and one of the Turtlenecks took a seat. He proposed that the group do him a favor, or he carried out his threats against their loved ones. He requested that the group kill one Connor Macleod, an antique shop owner in Manhattan. Terri antagonistically refused, while Andromeda flat out said no. The rest eventually said no as well. Lazarus then said, “their fate is on your heads then” and left, the illusion of him disappearing as he exited the Shop. A few minutes later, Andromeda and Terri spotted Lazarus leave the shop. Terri raced out after Lazarus and then across the street into the Subway, Jane close on her heels. Jane got outside just as Terri raced down into the subway. The others followed soon after. Terri struggled through the crowd just in time to see Lazarus board the A train and it pull out of the station. Jane arrived just in time to hear Terri say “Son of a Bitch”. Jane then pulled her cell phone out and tried her contacts at The Agency to get access to the Transit cameras, but they were unable to get immediate access. V.S. and Charles saw the cell phone in Jane’s hand and stopped on the steps.
The group rendezvoused at The Flame of Knowledge. Andromeda contacted her father in California and he informed her that he was coming to NYC to assist the DA, at the request of the Kardashians, in the Kim Kardashian murder trial. Terri left a letter at Forrester and Forrester Investigations for Ted and Michelle Forrester, warning them of Lazarus. Jane confirmed that Lt. Susan Ivanova was on leave working with Warden Alfred Newcastle. The others shared who all was being threatened. After Jane had Charles raise the ward, Terri pointed out that Kathleen said “You will keep the Peace, Vanderbilt” to Lazarus as he entered (either to his illusion or to the real Lazarus hiding under a veil in the corner). Jane then pointed out that Jennifer Vanderbilt was the Technomancer from Anonymous involved, Alaska Vanderbilt lived next to Andromeda (and caused the fire which burnt down her apartment), and the murder occurred in Vanderbilt Park in Central Park. V.S. then confirmed that a ley line passes under the Vanderbilt home on Staten Island and The Vanderbilt Tomb on Staten Island. At Jane’s Inquiry, the group confirmed the Ley line from Old Yankee Stadium (where Risa was killed) crosses the Ley Line from The Alleyway that David was found in beneath Cleopatra’s Needle (an Egyptian style monolith dedicated to the goddess Isis) in Central Park. Terri, Jane, and Andromeda pointed out that the Vanderbilt name is old dutch.
As conversation continued, V.S. broke out a map of Ley Lines and the group confirmed that Ley Lines of significant power run under the Vanderbilt Mansion (that Jennifer lives in), the Vanderbilt Tomb (on Staten Island), and the one running from under Old Yankee Stadium, which crosses the one the group figures was used as part of the ritual to take David’s power.
V.S. asked if anyone knew how to track down Lazarus? David then asked everyone if they knew why Lazarus wanted them to kill Connor Macleod? Jane mentioned she knew he is an immortal, a decent guy, fairly old, and of some power. As the group looked into connections, Charles recalled that on occasions, Connor Macleod has worked with Warden Alfred Newcastle, and on at least two of those occasions, Alaska Vanderbilt also worked with him. This was pointed out as part of the ‘Vanderbilt Conspiracy’ the group was discussing. V.S. then told Andromeda to call Alaska and go see her in the hospital, even though Andromeda said they were only neighbors, not friends. V.S. told Andromeda to go “frenemy her” pressuring Andromeda to go talk to Alaska in the hospital.
Looking through the phone book, V.S. found that Connor Macleod’s antique shop was a mere 5 blocks from The Flame. Everyone, except David and Charles, went to Macleods Antiques. The shop was closed, when the group arrived, even though hours posted stated it should be open. The door was locked, lights out, except for a light in the back room. Jane walked down the alley, not sensing any immortals, but hearing someone inside the shop. Jane knocked on the door as V.S. cowered behind a dumpster. The door was opened after a few moments, an attractive brunette answered and informed Jane that Connor was out and would be gone for some time. Jane left her card and asked the girl to have him call when she returns.
Jane said it was suspicious that Connor too was gone. Terri suggested that Lazarus may be using the group to find Connor, so they should drop the whole Connor thing. The group then asked Terri what she suggested they do, and she responded “Nuke the Vanderbilts”, to which the others seemed surprised, and asked her for her logic, which was…unusual and involved lots of things dieing.
The group then went to NY Presbyterian Hospital, to speak with Alaska Vanderbilt. Andromeda drove the group, parking in Hospital Parking, and went to the main entrance. Group spoke to one of the receptionists, who told them Alaska was in the Critical Care Unit, which was restricted to Family only. When Jane flashed her badge, the receptionist called someone, and shortly thereafter said Alaska was in treatment and then was scheduled for undisturbed rest. Jane inquired when she could be spoken to and was told to try tomorrow, around 2PM.
Jane then called The Agency, asking after the footage from the stations. Lazarus took the subway to Columbus Circle Station, switching to the 9 train and getting off at Pelham station in Harlem. Jane asked for them to send the footage to her computer, and to also see how far back they could run it, comparing the footage to NY Presbyterian. Techs compared the footage and discovered Lazarus visited 2 times in the last month. The dates coincided with the date Alaska was admitted to the ICU (30 minutes after) and again after Alaska was taken from ICU to CCU. Jane asked the Agency, after getting permission from her superiors, to monitor the hospital and contact her if Lazarus showed.
Terri went into the nearby alleyway, and began searching through her gear, making it obvious she was contemplating breaking into Alaska’s room. Jane noticed this and pointed out that breaking in would almost assuredly be connected to the group as they were just inquiring about her. This was shelved, as the group discussed Alaska’s relation to Lazarus. V.S. asked if Lazarus could have “shook her like a soda and made her explode”. Jane mentioned that from what Charles had said of her proclivities, she doubted Alaska did it on purpose. Andromeda then mentioned that she saw Alaska truly terrified of the candles on Hugh Hefner’s birthday cake when they were both at his last birthday bash. The group leaned towards the Alaska incident was an accident, or at least not done by her on purpose. Andromeda asked if someone could invade someone’s dreams. Terri volunteered to go see what the forensic reports on the explosion in Alaska’s apartment (which burned down Andromeda’s apartment as well). The group then discussed going to look at Alaska’s apartment, which most pointed out was probably hard to do. Andromeda then said that the Superintendent, Oscar Barret, was friendly to her, and was dating Alaska, and probably still is dating her. Looking at the footage she got from the Agency of the Hospital, Jane confirmed that Oscar had visited the hospital every day since Alaska was admitted.
Terri went to the NYC District Attorneys Office while the others went to 55 Central Park West to speak with Oscar Barret. He invited them inside to talk. Jane took note of the very large White Wolf’s head mounted on the wall, along with an ancient broadsword. Next to it was a photograph of his mother, Dana Barret. Jane then identified herself as FBI and asked if Oscar knew a Lazarus Jacobs. He said no, but he knew a Lazarus Vanderbilt, Alaska’s younger half brother. He called Lazarus as odd, and when asked why, mentioned he asked Oscar alot about his mother. He pointed out several pictures of his mom as he said this.
The group then headed upstairs and went to Alaska’s apt, noticing first it was very cold and windy, open to the outside. V.S opened his sight, seeing the fire demons he expected to see in the main room. As he made his way into Alaska’s room, he saw a “ghost” of a man, setting off a suicide vest in an endless loop. the mans body was wrapped in blue electrified barbed wire, and puppet strings, that V.S. was positive represented that someone or something had mind controlled the man into doing this. V.S also saw evidence that Alaska’s magic innately activated and saved her life and the building, from the explosion. V.S. then closed his sight and after recovering from the horrifying site of the man, told them there was “good news, bad news, and horrible news”. He then said he did not have any evidence that Lazarus did this, that Alaska’s magic saved her and the building, and that he (V.S.) did not die. The group then debated who was the puppetmaster – Lazarus, Risa, or someone else. V.S. described the man he saw and Andromeda recognized the description as Joseph Hobbes,

a man who lived 4 floors below her and had a crush on both herself and Alaska.
The group then went to talk to Oscar and when Andromeda asked him if Joseph Hobbes’ apartment had been rented out, Oscar asked her why it would be rented, as he still lived there. They asked when he last saw Hobbes, and Oscar said this morning. Jane then said “Oh, we have GOT to talk to this guy” and they went up to talk to Mr. Hobbes.
Meanwhile, Terri looked up the official reports on the fire. DNA remnants were found, no match on file. Experts amazed that the building was not destroyed and that Alaska survived. The device was ridiculously powerful and has been ruled an act of terrorism and passed on to Homeland Security. Shortly after reading through all this (an hour or two later), Jane called Terri and told her about Hobbes and everything. Terri looked up Joseph Hobbes, learning that he was a former NYPD officer, dishonorably discharged – linked to the HR Scandal (A group of corrupt cops who work with the criminal underworld. They are involved with corrupt politicians, enterprising criminals, and foreign cartels. An FBI task force indicted and arrested over 75 dirty cops in HR’s employ, and now the FBI considers HR degraded to the point of irrelevance, and criminal affiliates believe HR is “done”. However, the big boss of HR escaped without identification, and a minority within NYC’s Law Enforcement community believe HR is “down, but not out”), and is now a PI making a decent living taking photos of cheating spouses.
Terri met up with the group at 55 Central Park West and they all went up to Mr. Hobbes’ apartment. They heard Bruce Springsteen music coming from inside. Knocking on the door got no answer. V.S. then told Andromeda to knock on the door and say “Free boobs”. Andromeda looked at him and said she was glad he found her boobs attractive. Andromeda then put one of her gloves and opened the door and opened the door. Saw an empty bottle of champagne, two glasses, one with lipstick, and some cheese and crackers on a table. And a trail of discarded men and women’s clothing leading out of the room and down the hall. Terri then drank a soda bottle (Sprite) of something and disappeared. She then went down the hall, to hear female moaning and a bouncing bed. She continued on and saw Hobbes lying beneath the brunette from the antique shop.

As the brunette threw her head back, Terri lowered the temperature to 10 degrees Fahrenheit, then noticed the girls eyes were cat slitted and Hobbes’ eyes went silver. Terri went back to the group, and her disembodied voice told the group there was a fey, the girl, and a white court, Hobbes. Jane then knocked on the door and Hobbes came out a few minutes later in a robe. Jane identified herself as FBI, and V.S. promptly opened the sight, seeing the others in front of him and Hobbes (full silver skinned, silver eyed man). Hobbes put his hand on Andromeda, who started to feel really good and sat down. He then began rubbing her shoulders, at which point, V.S. left. Jane put her hand on her gun and he asked Jane to leave. Andromeda said she wanted to stay. Terri then revealed herself, and she called out to the girl, who identified Terri. Hobbes then asked both of them to leave. Andromeda continued to say she wanted to stay. The group refused to leave, and the fae girl eventually offered to fix this, hinting someone else sent her here. V.S. returned and used the sight to look at the fae girl, seeing an elven eared naked beauty, that he identified as Ellistrae, one of Queen Mab’s troubleshooters. Terri then accepted Ellistrae’s offer and got Joseph to let Andromeda go, forcing him to stab himself with a letter opener (he owed her a favor). The group then left, and talked in the car as Andromeda recovered. As V.S. revealed Ellistrae (name never dropped) as Mab’s troubleshooter, Terri went pale (Ellistrae is The Queen’s Hand. Terri knows the title and whispers, but never said who she was).
The group then went to Andromeda’s as she needed to change. Jane went upstairs with Andromeda to make a call. While Andromeda changed, Jane called her office, asking them to see if they could re-route the alarms there if they went off.
The group then returned to Macleod’s Antiques. The shop was still closed, no lights on. They went to the door in the alleyway and knocked to no answer. Jane tried picking the lock, and failed, her pick breaking. Jane then pulled a Master Key for her bag, trying it on the lock, successfully opening the door, as V.S’s presence shorted out the alarm. The group entered, V.S. pulling out his wand. V.S. and Andromeda began staring at the antiques on the shelves as Jane headed to the back room. Terri remained outside as lookout. Jane investigated the office, finding nothing, then made her way to the steps leading to the living quarters. Inside the living room, on a table, she found an unmelting block of ice with an authentic Scottish Claymore sitting in it like Excalibur in the Sword in the Stone, emanating a light blue light. Jane went and got the others and led the group back to the Sword in the Ice. Andromeda identifies the sword as the one born and buried with William Wallace. Terri and V.S. identified it as a Sword in the Stone Ritual, which had writing flare u which said “Whosoever pulleth this sword form this block of ice is rightful ruler of Scotland”. Andromeda took a picture on her phone of the sword, as V.S. The group then returned to The Flame.
As the group arrived, David received a text message of a picture of Serena Elessidil tied to a wheelchair wearing an explosives vest, on the top floor of a parking garage with the words, “Her fate is in your hands”.
