Shadows Over New York utilizes the Dresden Files RPG rules as developed by Evil Hat Productions. The universe in which the game takes place is primarily that of the Dresdenverse (Dresden Files), with some additions. These additions include, but are not limited to:
The Dresden Files – Prior to the events of “Changes”
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – After the events of the final TV Episode
Percy Jackson and the Olympians – After the conclusion of the first series of novels
The Word and The Void – After the conclusion of the trilogy
24 – Prior to the events of the Final Season
Die Hard – After the events of “Live Free or Die Hard”
Highlander – After the first 1/2 of the first movie. The Gathering has not yet happened
