Well, actually he did flatline, but was afraid to step into the light, and he accepted the favors of the Dark goddess. As her earthly representative in such matters, I do believe Gravestone now holds the mortgage on Ironsight’s soul. Not to worry though Ironsight’s soul is in good hands. The Goddess didn’t get into the sub-prime souls market and is in no danger of being bought out by insect spirits.

With the damage system working. Combats go a lot faster.. and we almost killed Ironsight. On the other hand, the Troll being hunted by the Shadowrunners went down missing a chest when Kill-Face blasted him with a shotgun loaded with a EX-Explosive slug. Suddenly all this exotic ammo is scary. (Side Note.. Ironsight went down being blasted with Regular Ammo from an Ingram Smartgun, so normal everyday bullets are respectable too).

Sounds like this is going to make it a lot easier to kill and be killed.

Just to let everyone know. I’m changing the way that Damage is figured in game. Instead of the Damage Value being a die pool that is rolled to determine how much damage is resisted. That pool is now the actual Damage Value which needs resisted.

To illustrate, lets say that Kill-Face shoots a Ghoul with her Ares Preadator IV (DV 5P). Kill-Face’s Attack Pool is 9 (Agility 3 + Firearms 4 + Smartlink for 2). She rolls her average 3 successes to shoot the ghoul. The ghoul rolls one success on defense (from it’s Reaction Pool of 5) for two net hits. Kill-Face’s Preadator does 6 levels of damage to the Ghoul. The Ghoul has to resist with it’s Body of 7.

Just to warn folks. This is going to make damage in the game THREE times as effective.
