Thalass Cyerin is the well-guarded demi-plane created and owned by the elven wizard Elbeyon. Thalass Cyerin map

I. The spherewalker gate

Magic 20 portal

The spherewalker gate is the entrance to Thalass Cyerin. It can be found in the garden of the temple of Iomedae in Absalom. It is a stone doorway that seems to be blocked by a rock wall. Whenever anyone comes within 20ft. however, the entrance shows a bright field of arcane energy. Anyone passing through the field of energy is transported to Thalass Cyerin. Visitors returning from the wizard’s home also exit here.

The gateway is guarded by two statues. To the right of the gate stands a huge stone statue of a dragon bearing the holy symbol of Iomedae and Aroden on it’s chest.
The statue is not magical.

To the left stands a man sized statue of a shackled and humbled demon holding a copper bowl. The statue speaks the following warning to anyone nearing the gate.

“Welcome. You are about to enter the home of Elbeyon the Gold. Enter this portal with the wrong intentions and you will not return.”

II. Thalass Cyerin.

Anyone who enters the gate finds himself in a square room with a similar gateway in the middle. Surrounding the gate a silver magical circle is etched in to the floor. Several magical runes outline the outside of this circle. A statue of an angel stands next to the only exit. When anyone approaches it talks:

“You may pass to the next room and wait for the master. Know that if you have evil in your heart death awaits you.”

The next room is a comfortable waiting area with chairs, tables and various books. Two hellhounds sit in the corners of the room and a succubus tends to the guests.

The room has one other door, leading to the outside.

Outside one passes across a 20ft long drawbridge across a lake. The shore of the lake is a beautiful grassland with a forest’s edge nearby. Fruit grows on the trees and birds sing. A sign warns that swiming in the water of the lake is forbidden.
