Once returned to the Eastern Grove, Scarlet moves on to Nexus to monitor the capture of Isabella while the others return to Yu-Shan in an effort to track the sidereal able to move through the freeze. They don’t find their target, but incursions into the freeze from both Chiaroscuro and the north draw their attention. Focusing on the north they discover a probe of sorts that originated in the Wyld. Tracking it back to its point of origin the Circle discovers a mature solar system where once they encountered the incarations of the Tearing Gale. Their presence there excites Mercury, expanding her portfolio briefly, but seems to enrage Jupiter, which may be connected to the fact that the planet Jupiter seems to be the center of this solar system. Returning to Creation the Circle tried to track down Mercury to obtain some answers.
