Ioni returns to the Circle, speaking of Aboshi’s capture in Malfeas. To draw her back to Creation the Circle returns to the Emerald City and uses the anchor Aboshi left behind. She returns with the Overseer and Chejop Kejak. From the former prisoners they learn that the wedding between the Scarlet Empress and the Ebon Dragon is moving forward and the infernals believed they had successfully targeted Gaia with an attack of some kind. Arvia, still a creature of darkness, also allowed Mnemia’s children to take a number of prophecy drawings so that they would reach the Circle without being seen by the rest of the city.
