The System
This is a conversion of the modular, rules light, roll & keep system used in the RPG 7th Sea to work in the Star Wars universe. The Star Wars content is mostly ripped from the Star Wars Saga Edition RPG. 7th Sea is owned by AEG and Star Wars Saga Edition is owned by Wizards. Please support the official release. This is simply for people who want to play a Star Wars RPG based in a freer Roll Keep system.
This wiki assumes you know Star Wars enough for me not to go into enough detail about the world and some familiarity with the 7th Sea system for me not to have to go too much into that either. This system has stripped away many of the rules from the Star Wars d20 system. Make sure to read up on the 7th Sea system if you want to try this mod out.
Basically, if there’s something you want to do, and there isn’t a rule for it, just ask what you need to roll, and the GM will tell you. It’s entirely likely that you won’t have to roll at all. The most important thing is if a rule gets in the way of the story or having fun, scrap it.
Character Creation
To start off with, a player gets 100 Hero Points (HP) to spend on character creation. This happens in 7 steps.
Step One: Species
With such a wide variety of species running around the galaxy, I’ve just decided to include the ones in the Core Saga Edition book.
Step Two: The Force
A connection to the Force can felt and self explored, or be trained and focused to be used in a specific way. Most of those with a strong connection to the Force are a member of a Force Using Tradition. Independent Force users have the potential of becoming just as powerful, or more so, than a member of a tradition. However, this path takes vigorous discipline to accomplish and comes after many years of study. Beginning as a Force Sensitive costs 10 Hero Points. Beginning as a Force Sensitive and a member of a Force using tradition costs 30.
Step Three: Fighting Styles
Just as the Jedi are trained in the use of the lightsaber in Forms, other are trained in combat or develop a style of their own. Beginning with a Fighting Style costs 10 HP.
Step Four: Traits
Traits are your physical makeup. What you’re made of so to speak. Same rules as the 7th Sea System here.
Step Five: Advantages
Most of these are the same as in 7th Sea. Some have been altered, and some created.
Step Six: Skills and Knacks
Most of the Skills are the same here too. Main difference is that Advanced Knacks cost 2 HP at creation rather than 3 HP
Step Seven: Finishing Touches
Backgrounds, Personalities, Wealth, Wounds, Equipment, and Dark Side/Light Side Points (my mod of the Reputation system).
Some Rules
My modifications of the rules are here. There are a few changes to be aware of, so check out the page. Changes include Starships combat, Experience, Environments, and more.
Equipment
Weapons, Armor, and everything else.
Index
Also, for convenience’s sake, here’s a Index with links to every page on this wiki.
