The Lateran Sector is located within the unexplored regions where the Chiss and Ssi Ruuvi had built their empires. The Lateran Sector was controled by The Cordova. The Cordova are believed to be an extinct species of human-like force users that had extremely long lifespans; on par with Neti.

The Cordova left very little behind for clues to their motivation, but in what seemed to be a grand experiment there were seven systems that had been molded into nearly identical copies of one another right down to shared histories but with no knowledge of the other nearly identical systems.

The human populations of the worlds were manipulated to have identical histories with only tiny variations allowed to occur. Other systems in the region were not so specifically manipulated, but humans are found on most of the habitable planets.

At some point the manipulation was stopped or changed, perhaps as a result of the Cordova ceasing to exist. There is no absolute proof that the species died out, but there seems to be no signs of them existing either.

Lateran Systems:

Maseru

Maseru is an information age planet made up of only humans who have no knowledge of other intelligent species or any knowledge/ability in manipulating the force. Maseru is poluted and economically depressed. Cybernetics and violence are common.

Norwood

Norwood is an information age planet with humans as a dominant species, but other species which are really genetically/alchemically altered humans prevelant. They have no knowledge of species from other worlds, but do have active knowledge of the dark side of the force. Cybernetics and violence common, but vast areas have become unsettled due to violent conflicts with dark side adepts.

Tierce

Tierce is an information age world with only humans. It has no contact with any other intelligent species. It has no aapreciable knowledge of cybernetics, droids, or the force. It has a more typical amount of violence for an information age planet.

Icaria

Icaria is similar to Norwood and Tierce, with low prevelance of other species and force users but the ones that exist cause fear and discord among the humans who seem only partially aware of them. Droids are extremely primitive, cybernetics are effectively unknown, and force users are primarily dark side adepts.
