Session Four – Into the Show Biz!
After several meetings with the producer of IllumiWorks, Captain Zarah finally reaches an agreement with them, but entirely to his terms. Namely, he didn’t accept any similarities in the characters’ names with his crew’s and demanded that the ship model and name are also vastly different.
He did not agree for the full promotional trip, limited footage only, and as long as the series did a good rating, he’d get his private hangar. And of course, he raised the 20,000 Credits offered by the producer.
Loading up the actors on the Solar Wind, the crew had a chance to see some of the people that would portray them on the Holo-Show, along with the awkwardness that caused. For example, Dominic would be portrayed by an orange and very sensual female Twi’lek name Siri. During the trip, the crew got to socialize with actors, Lockon tried to win over Loreen Blein to the side of “Anti-Imperial” but she responded with a strictly business I-only-in-for-the-money attitude and Dominic had a sort of love affair flourish in the engine room where Siri asked him to show her around, so she could get a feel of the job.
Everything was going according to plan, with the crew traveling from Adarlon to Dagobah, where they’d plot a route to Kerest. Mid-way to Kerest, the hyperspace proximity alarms of the ship started blaring and they were pulled back to realspace. The reason – an asteroid roughly twice the size of the Solar Wind was in their way, and they had a collision course leading them straight to it.
Thanks to Fred’s competent piloting, they narrowly avoided crashing on the asteroid, instead grazing it with the Solar Wind’s lower side. As a result, the crew inside gets shaken and thrown around, resulting in Edward – the Medic – and Siri getting severely wounded. Four more people are wounded by the almost crash, but not severely. Immediately after this, the Solar Wind comes under attack by a pirate force of two ships – a Toscan 8-Q Starfighter and a YT-1210 Freighter. The Pirates were eventually driven off, after the destruction of the Toscan 8-Q, and the crew begun some emergency repairs. Dominic patched a small hull breach from the crash on the asteroid and while at it, the crew also gathered the remains of the Toscan’s hyperdrive.
Taking stock of their condition, the Solar Wind plotted its next jump to Shownarr where it would attempt to land for repairs and emergency medical assistance to the wounded.

- Solar Wind makes an emergency hyperspace exit due to an attempted pirate raid. They crash on an asteroid, severely damaging the craft’s lower hull and an assortment of other systems.
- Pirates are driven off, after their starfighter is destroyed.
- Two people are in critical condition and require constant attention (Doctor and the Twi’Lek – note #1). Two are severely wounded but stable and unconscious, four are wounded, two are in excellent condition.
Ship Damage Report:
- Maneuvering thrusters Jury – Rigged: Roll 1d6 on each maneuver. They fail on 1 or 2. Consider as light damage, Easy difficulty to repair, 10% cost. (3,250 Credits)
- Sublight Drive malfunction. -3 Space moves. Difficult Roll to repair, 20% cost. (6,500 Credits)
- Hull Severely Damaged. The entire bottom side of the ship is almost stripped bare, with a hull small hull breach on the starport half (hastily patched in-flight). Very Difficult to repair, 35% cost. (11,375 Credits)
