SG-15 is the fifteenth (in order of creation) team assembled by the SGC for the purpose of exploring other worlds by means of travel through the Stargate. Its original members, by rank, were:

SG-15 was sent to a mission on P4X-347, where they were supposed to meet with an alleged defector from the forces of the Goa’uld System Lord Baal. Before they arrived at the rendezvous point, however, they were ambushed by a team of Jaffa led by Baal’s underling, the Goa’uld Astarte. Asahara and Abrams were killed in the ensuing firefight, but only Abrams body was taken back for a funeral – Asahara was revived by Valesh and later rejoined the team.

After being stranded at the Alpha Site, SG-15 was renamed Alpha One by General Wycliffe, the base commander.
