During an attack on Earth by the Goa’uld System Lord Baal, the Alpha Team is assembled and sent to the Alpha Site, with a mission to carry on the Earth’s culture should the planet be destroyed. But a spy among the Alpha Team activates a mysterious device, sending them to an alternate universe in which Baal rules the people of Earth, masquerading as a benevolent king.
