Federal officials have released the name of a woman that they have in custody in association with the advocacy training center bombing that occurred in Capital City earlier this week.

Mary Elizabeth Lao-Che was bound by law within a few hours of the blast that killed eight people on the afternoon of the 22nd. After her initial questioning and processing Lao-Che was brought before a grand jury in the building of the High Court. After her questioning on Osiris she was remanded to the custody of the Perdition Penal Facility.

Lewiston B. Sayles, a Prosecutor of the High Court, indicated that the witness was highly cooperative. As a result of her testimony and sworn statements, “…we have a rock-solid case against Mr. Jonathan Crane and his cohorts. We now have evidence to demonstrate in a court of law that Mr. Crane was not only involved in the bombings on Osiris but was in fact the ringleader of a group of shiftless degenerates who go about murdering and rampaging in the name of politics. He has also been implicated in other similar crimes as well.” Asked if these “similar crimes” were the bombings on Londinium, Ariel, and Sihnon, the Prosecutor would give no comment.

Boyce Rodgers, the advocate assigned to Ms. Lao-Che, is appealing to the High Court to send his client to some other holding area than the Perdition facility, as is usual procedure with terrorism suspects since the end of hostilities of the Unification War. ”My client’s rights, guaranteed by the laws of Parliament and the Articles of the Alliance, are only being followed in a perfunctory fashion. She appeared before a grand jury to give evidence after only having a ten-minute consultation with her advocate. I want to see justice done as much as anyone but we as a society have ways of doing it. This is Osiris, the seat of the Law, not the seat of Rim-world, lynch-mob justice.”

The Alliance government has issued a 5000 CR reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Jonathan Crane.

Alliance officials have not released much information on the only held suspect in the serial bombings that have rocked the “core” worlds of the ‘Verse.

According to the release, Lao-Che served in the Unification War with Jonathan Crane. It is unclear as to what unit and where the group was stationed. She was apparently trained in covert operations during the war and used those skills to assist Crane in his crimes.

The motive and exact purpose of the crimes is still unclear.
