So since I only have bum level clearance on here it wont let me post things in the forum section, so I figured I would post it up here. Seeing as how this is a nice open sandbox campaign I thought it would be nice if us player types posted some rumors of some types of mini adventures type things we could look into, remember to keep it nice and vague so that Pete can play around with it.

For example; 20 years ago the local town (insert convenient town here) was plagued by terrible creatures that attacked with the rising of the moon, a mighty hero sought to end the town’s struggling and set off to find the resting place of the foul creatures. Neither the hero nor the creatures were seen again so it was assumed the hero gave his life to rid the town of their woes. the townsfolk honored the fallen hero with a statue and returned to a happier way of life. For the past month there have been reports of people going missing and just last week a body was found. Some of the older folks remember the attacks from 20 years ago and old fears are starting to rise to the surface, only this time there is no hero to save them.

Or; The legendary hero Gellan the Protector had a long career and accomplished many heroic deeds and is known in all lands. A small corner of the world knew him as Gellan Farns a farmers son with dreams of fame and riches. It is said that after his long career he retired back to his hometown to wed a love from his youth. Some say that under the now wrecked shell of a building that once was his home lies the riches that he amassed over his long years of adventuring though it is guarded by all manner of magics and traps and beasts.

Stuff like that, but please comeup with some good ones as I can’t be bothered thinking of any at the minute.
