Swords of Honor

The Final Confrontation!

May 30, 2012 18:56

Once inside Vlad’s Fortress our heroes rallied together with newfound strength they now were ready to settle the score with Vlad once and for all.

Checking their equipment and insuring they were ready, then prepared continued on. They met a woman who was there, pregnant and scared as she explained her situation. Being forced to carry Vlad’s unborn child and wanted nothing of his evil. Starney said that in his state he would be little to no help and he would fly her away with Thorn, Drake’s Griphon to Thalmus’s Castle and get her to safety. Before she left she told them of someone that Vlad feared and was in the lower chambers with the rest of the slaves.

Agreeing that it was best that Starney get her to safety it became apparent that they were going to fight this fight with bows, blades and magic. As they went down the hall they saw one of Vlad’s minnons that looked like a goblin. Raynard saw him and took persuit as the others followed after him as well. Once they got him in site he was with all his compannions where they were keeping slaves. Our Heroes drew their weapons and began to fight the hordes as they were finished off quickly with little effort. Raynard went to the Goblin as hit shuttered in fear. “Where is Vlad?!” he asked violently pulling out his knives. “He’s upstairs with his allies.” the Goblin said as he looked at Raynard.

Raynard smiled as he said thank you, giving his back to the Goblin. The Goblin slowly pulled out his club but Raynard spun around and stabbed him as the Goblin gasped and fell to a dying fall. Once all was taken care of the heroes freed the slaves giving them a chance of life anew. They continued onward to the back room and saw a coffin that was sealed in chains with a lock and magically perserved. They all looked and felt great power within as they asked Raynard to open the lock. He did so and they all moved the top of the coffin off seeing a man, a paladin sleeping. He then awoke as he pulled out his sword as he sat up. “Where is he? Where is Vlad!?” he asked narrowing his eyes.

Our heroes reasured him they were not his enemy in fact were looking for the same person. Upon getting the info the Paladin agreed to join them as they continued onward. Upon getting to the upper levels they heard the rattles of chains in a large room. Rayanrd looked in through the keyhole and saw it was a dragon bashing the chains against the wall. Raynard gulped and said, “Big Dragon… and I’m not going in.” he said. Leonnel looked at the other door on the far side and walked to it as he looked in too with Raynard. They saw it was a huge room, the Dragon’s personal cell so to say. Everyone was reluctant what to do but Leonnel took a deep breath and said. “I’m going in. I might be able to reason with the creature.” he said as he opened the door on the far side and walked in. Raynard gasped but hid himself outside looking in from the side.

Drake, Runeaya and the Paladin came in through the main enterance but stayed only in the entrance. Leonnel walked closer to the dragon until the dragon noticed him. “You… are you one of the ones that captured me.” he roared out still bashing his chains then growled.

“No… we are not, in fact we are here to see if we can help you.” Leonnel said. The great white dragon just growled as he looked at Leonnel then got closer as he smelled him. “You… I know you… you were there when the that acursed Frost Lord tried to take control of me. You also freed me from his grasp.” he said. Leonnel bowed to the creature as he looked up. “Yes. Me and my companions did do this for you. I take it Vlad found you and captured you. Would you like us to free you once more?” he asked.

Xinarizx the White Dragon nodded as he stood still. Everyone but Raynard came closer to get a good inspection of the chains as they say it was kept together by one lock. A small one as they all realized that the chains must be magical to hold such a creature but the lock wasn’t. Raynard was outside shaking as he didn’t want to fight another dragon.

The group encouraged him to come in and help but Raynard just peaked in and said. “How do I know he won’t try and eat me?” he asked.

Xinarizx was angered by this as he roared out. “You wish to keep me here?” he yelled out. “No no no. I have great respect for you. I just am just making sure that I am alive after helping you.” he said. Xinarizx huffed as he glared. “Free me and I will help you against Vlad’s forces. But afterwards I will leave, do you promise not to follow.” He said. Leonnel, Runeaya, Drake and the Palidin nodded as Raynard said. “I would not dream of following you.”

He unlocked the lock holding the dragon as the dragon felt the chains come loose. He shook to free himself from the chains as he expanded his wings. He then nodded and crashed into a wall making a hole and flew out to aid in the battle against Vlad.

With assisting the dragon finished they continued onward to finally confront Vlad. The group came to a large door as Raynard peaked in seeing Vlad talking with a group of people. Raynard devised a plan to have everyone spread out. He would be the bait to bring Vlad out and vulnerable. They all took positions as they listened.

Vlad was talking as he was sitting in his chair. “They are fighting back and our losses are growing but we will win… we have the advantage after all.” he said to his counsil.

“Advantage huh… you seem confident.” Raynard said exposing himself as he jumped into their meeting area. “Your forces are crumbling Vlad. Why are you so fixated? Why are you doing this? And above all… why the hell did you choose to tomrent me?” Raynard said as everyone else got ready with spells or weapons.

Vlad stood and laughed. “Why… because I was bored, I want to rule everything. Immortality is nothing if you can’t use it for some other benefits.” he said as he walked over to Raynard. “Besides I needed to test my ideals on someone, getting Dake’s forces to join me and finding out you were his rival just made it easier for me to decide.” he said.

Raynard sighed. “for an immortal you think very little. You could do so much more. You cursed me with a necklace because you wanted to test it out. Test your power.” Raynard said.

Vlad got closer as he placed his hand on him. “That trinket is nothing but a sample of my great power.” he said as he then grabbed Raynard’s throat and gazed at him. “I think you will do nicely as a mindless servant now.”

That was it Drake quickly leeped into action as he somersaulted over Vlad and Raynard while at the same time stabbing him in the back. Vlad used what magic he had to try and gain control of Raynard once more but Raynard jumped back and broke free of his hold physically and mentally.

Leonel jumped and focused his magic. “Raynard, Drake… get down!” he yelled as he fired his Flame Strike attack. The cone errupted as Vlad’s forces were struck by Leonels flame and devine magics. However Vlad was able to duck not being harmed as did Raynard, but Drake wasn’t fast enough as he got a little bit burnt.

Runeaya and the paladin went to work on the others that were still alive. Runeaya firing her arrows to give her allies more time and the Paladin cutting down Vlad’s forces one swing after another.

That battle continued until Vlad summoned his hellish forces to his aid. Now with him fighting against Drake and Raynard the others would be preoccupied but he saw that the paladin as he gasped. “You awoke him! damn you all!” he yelled as they continued to fight.

Leonel was preocupied with one of the Hell demons seeing that he saw this one in Hell. “Payback I suppose.” he said as he began to fight using his sword, his panther and his 2 spheres of lightning that were now attacking the demon.

They all continued to fight until Vlad’s forces were either dead or retreating. Vlad was fighting more dirty using web spells to get them away and hoping to be free for their assualts. But Drake continued to insure that he would not get away. Using the wond of wonders he made Vlad small to the size of a halfling. Then trying to escape again he vanished with invisibility but Talimos saw him and pointed him out. Then he transformed to vapor to escape once more but Drake dispelled him transforming him back. Still being attacked from everyone Vlad realized he was going to be defeated. He then took it upon himself to rather being killed by them he would take matters to his own hands as he got in the sunlight. “So much for immortality, time for me to see the dawn.” he said removing the ring and turned to ash.

Vlad was finally defeated and the fortress was now strarting to crumble. everyone started to run and escape as Leonel transformed again into a large bird grabbing Raynard and the paladin as Drake took Runeaya upon his gryphon. And Talimos once again being resuced by Thalmus’s bone dragon as they flew back to Elidia to be hailed as heroes.

The Great Alliances

May 20, 2012 19:46

Our heroes finally back at Elidia conversed of their plans of what to do. Vlad was coming to destroy Elidia and they needed to act. Going to the mayor of Elidia they tried to get him and everyone to leave but even through depliomacy acts he would not budge. Even with the impending doom that they would all face it still didn’t get through as he was adament that he was going to stay.

Frustrated the heroes regrouped to think of what they could do… get people on the boats by force or to go and get help. One of the townspeople that accompanied Leonnel, Raynard, and Drake when they went to the island approached them. It was Darvin and he said that he believed them after what they went through. He said that he would do what he could but to head to Moravia and get help. Just say his name and they would come running.

Through more discussion the group decided the best course of action was to split up and go get other allies. Runeaya and Starney would head for Moravia, Drake would take to the skies and see if he could find his father and bring them to Elidia, Leonnel said he would ride to the Elven Kingdom to ask help from King Eionor and his people, and Raynard decided to take his 2 ships and head to the Lizard Clans home and bring them on one of his ships. Talimos was going to get all the townspeople who were either children or elderly into the castle and have its magical walls protect them it was the only locigal choice now.

Runeaya and Starney got on their horses and road off to Moravia. They ran the horses hard wanting to get Moravia as quickly as they could but then they saw they were being persued by cloaked men having Vlad’s emblem upon them. “Damn… its Vlad’s men… they are trying to slow us down.” said Starney. “Keep Riding… we can’t let up.” she said as she turned her body around and pointed her arrow at one and shot one dead. Starney also turned pulling out a gun and shooting one dead in the face as but with only 2 dead and 7 more coming.

“Argh! There is just too many of them. Runeaya, go on ahead… they’ll just slow you down. Let me handle them.” he said as he turned getting his weapons readon. Runeaya shook her head. “Are you crazy. There are to many of them.” she said as he turned her horse around and charged at one with her lance. Empailing one off his horse to a dying fall. Now with only 6 left Starney called out. “Runeaya! You and I can’t fight them all and get to Moravia in time. You have to go, trust me!” yelled Starney.

Runeaya only had worry on her face but she knew he spoke the truth she nodded and road off with tears in her eyes. Starney just smiled as he got himself ready to fight. “Its time for this bard to earn his place.” he said as he charged at the 6 remaining riders.

Runeaya finally got to Moravia and quickly as she just road through the streets. Finally making it to the barrecks she told them about the situation and said that she needed them to head to Moravia. Thanks to the words of their ally, Darvin, it went through even more smoothly as they agreed to mobalize but Runeaya worried about Starney quickly road out of Moravia as she headed back to where Starney was. Once she got there all the men were dead and Starney was sitting at the base of a tree terribly wounded. Runeaya went to him and he smiled to her saying. “Hey… I did it.” he said but was coughing up blood. Runeaya deperate to save his life got him on her horse and road back to Moravia in hopes of meeting with the army. She was lucky that she met them halfway there and was able to find a cleric to help heal Starney but he would never be able to fight again for the wounds he suffered was horrible. With that Starney would only work well being from rooftops and ranged attacks.

Drake took to the skies on his Griphon, Thorn. Flying to where his father was camped he told him of Vlad coming to wage war on Elidia then head to the captial of Moravia to finish what he started. This would be the only chance that they had to stop Vlad once and for all and Chase, the Grey Wanderer agreed. Rallying his troops he said they were marching to Elidia to comfront Vlad and finish his evil. Drake took to the skies again and looked for Uvenk, Raynard’s best friend and Son of the Black Talon Tribes Cheif Urd. He found him and told him of the war that was going to happen in Elidia. That they would need him and the Black Talon Tribe to fight against Vlad. Uvenk smiled and said that he would like nothing less to get back at Vlad for using Maria and forcing him to betray his friends to save her. He then gave his word and went to bring the Black Talon Tribe to Elidia.

Leonnel was riding on Wulff’s back as Wulff was running at top speed through the forests as if he was running on a road with no obsticles. Leonnel could finally see the Elven Kingdom in the clearing as he smiled. “Well done Wulff we are almost there.” he said as Wulff howled. The elven people looked as they were freightened at first but then they saw it was Leonnel riding ontop as the cheered. Leonnel had no time for peasantries as he urged Wulff to get to the castle. Once at the castle Leonnel dissmounted and ran up the steps as the guards approached him. “I must speak with the king immidietly, it is of great importance not just for this kingdom but of all of Moravia.” he said. The guards let him in as he ran in and Wulff waited for him outside. Leonnel went through the halls to the main throne room as he ran through the doors but went still kneeled before the king.

King Eionor was baffled by the sudden burst but seeing Leonnel panting and run in like this must have been urgent. Leonnel quickly in his kneeling position began to speak. “My King, forgive me for this outburst and commotion but I have come to deperately ask for your help. Vlad the Mastermind of all the evil being done has made his move and is planning to destory Elidia and then he plans to move to the capital of Moravia. I ask you bring your soldiers to Elidia so we may stop him.” he pleaded as he looked up at the king still kneeling to him. King Eionor listened entently as he looked to his soldiers as they stood at attention but their hearts yurned to help him from his plea. Eionor then smiled as he stood from his throne and walked down. Leonnel then dropped his head showing respect as he gulped. “Leonnel Von Meadowlyoss. You have been not only a great ally, but a freind to my people. I will do as you ask but only in one condition.” he said.

Leonnel looked up. “Anything your grace!” he said making eye contract. King Eionor smiled as he looked at him. “Promise you will take care of my daughter and you will protect her from this man Vlad.” he said. “I swear to you, King Eionor that I will protect her. And Vlad will not come close to her or to your people.” he said. King Eionor then kneeled down as he placed his hand on Leonnel. “For one so pure of heart I will help you. Leonnel, for you to fulfill this promise you must do one last thing I ask.” he said. “What your Majesty?” Leonnel asked. “Mary my daughter Cristia. You have courted her for sometime and each day you are away her heart yerns to be with you. However, you must marry her… tonight.” he said.

Leonnel gasped as he lowered his head. He was surprised that the king asked Leonnel to marry her now of all times. But he nodded and said. “Thank you your Majesty. I am not worthy for this.” he said. King Eionor then hugged Leonnel. “Welcome, my son.” he said.

Later that night Leonnel wed Cristia and also consimated their marriage. Very early Leonnel was preparing Wulff in scale armor getting him ready for war as the Elven Soldiers also prepared. Leonnel then saw someone was in his tent as he went in to check as he saw it was Crisitia getting ready to come along. Leonnel asked what she was doing and said she was going to fight. Leonnel sighed as he lowered his head knowing this was not going to be an argument that he was going to win so he thought hard on the promise he made. “Promise me one thing. When I tell you to run… you run and don’t look back.” he said. She nodded as they hugged each other. Leonnel then went out, got ontop of Wulff and helped Cristia, his Wife, onto his back as he looked to the elven people. “To Elidia! TO FREEDOM!” he said as they all cheer and road with him to Elidia.

Raynard sailed to the Lizard Men Encampment with his 2 ships, the Maurader’s Folly and the Winter’s Sorrow. Once there he talked to the head chieftan. “My friend, I fear that I will be going to war and Muckmube will not be there to assist me. So I come to ask for your help.” Raynard said. The Lizard Cheiftan placed his giant hand on his shoulder. “If MUCKUMBE will not be able to help you. Then we will help you!” he said as he turned to his warriors. He raised his War Axe and yelled, “MUCKUMBE!!!” as all the warriors yelled with him and went to board the ships.

Finally all came to Elidia. Drake flying with the griphons of his father’s soldiers and also seeing Uvenk marching with the Black Talon tribe. Runeaya coming with the Soldiers from Moravia’s Capital, Leonnel coming with the Elven soldiers from the Elven Kingdom and soon Raynard from the seas with the Lizard Men tribe ready for the cries of war.

Soon Vlad appear from his flying fortress as he used his magic to summon hordes of undead. everyone sprung into action and began to fight as the hordes of dead were being attacked from all sides. Many from different types from arrial attacks from griphon riders, rage attacks from the Black Talon tribe, quick attacks from the Lizard men, cannon blasts from the ships, arrows and lances from the Elven tribe and magic from Thalmus and his fortress. Finally the first was was defeated as Drake landed. “IS THAT ALL YOU GOT VLAD!!?” he yelled to him.

Vlad’s laughed echoed as his voice was heard all around. “OH I have more then just undead for you to face I have another trump card.” he said as he summoned from the clouds above where a storm was forming, a huge creature made of bones. It wasn’t a dragon but a bone like bat that was giantic. He screeched as he flew towards them. Leonel dismounted as he pulled out the magical javilin from the box given to him. “King of Thunder, Lord of Lighning I ask you to give me your aid. Strike this foe that flies in your domain. Die fowel creature, I command you, BY ZEUS!” he yelled as he threw the Javilin. The Javilin left his hand and started to spin then sparks of magic came around it then it formed into a lightning bolt. At the last possible second the bat dodged it but it hit its foot as a large explosion was seen. It still few towards them to land on a house and scoop up the Mayor eat him. It then took to the skies once again. Chase, Drake’s father called out, “Sable company, arrows ready! FIRE!!!” he said as a rain of arrows came from the skies hitting the creature as it screamed out in pain but flew out of range thinking that the cannons and arrows would no longer get to it. Leonnel’s eyes flared as he showed he had enough. He raised his hands as the clouds above started to spark thunder and lightning as his eyes glowed. “Thanks for the storm VLAD!!! LIGHTNING!!!” he said as 7 bolts of lightning rained down on the beast. It screamed as it fell to a dying fall.

Vlad roared saying he had enough as he then used another great spell to summon legions of undead as they now went on the attack. Raynard continued his attack on Vlad’s fortress trying to weaken it as the others continued to fight on. Vlad finally showed himself on a flying creature as he looked at the battle as he huffed. he still the ends justified the means even with his undead forces being defeated one by one. But as Vlad flew back Starney took aim and shot him right in the arse. Vlad winced as he looked back as Starney saluted him. “I kept my promise to Raynard.” he said smiling as Vlad retreated to his castle.

Chase then called out to the others that it was time for them to put the next phase of their plan to action. A small group to invade Vlad’s fortress. Raynard continued to fire until he finally was able to pentrate the walls and get an opening in the lower chambers. Drake finally seeing the opertunity flew to the Raynard and got him on Thorn as they flew to the opening. Thalmus giving Talimos, Runeaya, and Starney the chance to fly up there with his bone dragon while he stood and protected the people in his home. Leonnel telling Wulff to stay with Cristia and telling Cristia to stay with the Wulff and if things got to dangerous to flee. He then ran and jumped into the air becoming and Owl and flew to the opening with the rest of the group.

The final battle was now to begin and our heroes had bejun the envasion. Finally it was just Vlad, his fortress and whatever horrors lay within that our heroes would have to brave in order to finish Vlad off once and for all.

Crossed, Double Crossed and a Wizard's Will

May 20, 2012 15:29

After Vlad’s boasting exit with getting the ring he wanted and his men retreating with winning their prize. Everyone seemed to just glare at Vlad as he left and then looked to Raynard. Raynard played the foreign innocent as they all walked out but Drake and Leonnel he was up to something and with what he was thinking it was crazy but it was Raynard they were thinking about.

Once back at the Lizard Mens camp they still celebrated after maming an Acid Dragon. Fianlly after much talk with the Lizard tribe they agreed to become allies in the name of their god, MUCKUMBE.

Once all was done they boarded the “Muraders Folly” and sailed to the Elven Kingdom to restalk and resupply. Once there they all got off they seemed to go their seperate ways to resupply while Raynard stayed on the ship waiting for the right moment.

Leonel went back to the castle saying hello to all who greeted him as he was now solidifying himself as more then a nobleman to them all but also an ally. He made it back to the castle and showed his respect to the king once more and asked the king to strengthen his sword and armor one more time before he left once again. The King agreed as he also asked him to spend the night and Leonel agreed as the armor and sword were going to be strengthened for him. Leonel also took the oppertunity to see Cristia again who unaware has been watching since he docked.

Runeaya, Starney and Talimos were getting more supplies for the ship going to head to Elidia to see Thalmus, Talimos’ mentor once they were fully stocked. Making sure to not only resupply with food but also materials for spells as well.

Night fell as everyone was asleep and Raynard then began to sneak off taking a row boat but Drake was there leaning against a tree laying in wait. “So you really are going to go through with it?” he asked.

Raynard sighed as he looked to Drake. “Yes, but you can’t come with me Drake… if things go bad who’s going to take care of the ship while I’m away?” he jested. “Besides… who better to go huh?” he added as he smiled and waved good-bye as he rowed away and Drake just watched as his comrade vanished into the mists of the night.

Once Morning broke out heroes rejoined only to see that Raynard left them that night. Some were dissapointed while others didn’t care or they knew that this was a much larger plan considering it was Raynard after all.

They were all about to leave until they saw a Dragon coming towards them in the distance. They stood ready thinking it was the Acid Dragon coming to fight again. But the closer it got they saw it was a Bone Dragon and someone was riding the dragon. Our heroes still stood ready to fight as the Elven Guard came with their spears, javilins, shields and bows ready. Finally once fully in veiw they saw it was Thalmus, Talimos’s mentor. Leonel and Drake told the Elven Guard to stand down and it was alright as Thalmus landed.

Thalmus explained the situation saying that he had important family bussiness and wanted all of them to come along however he did noticed that Raynard wasn’t with the group. Upon explination Drake told him that he left on his own accord to seek out Vlad. Everyone else was either glaring or just dead silent as Thalmus ponded with his beard. “He was always a crazy one, that Raynard. Come… we will worry about this later.” he said.

Runeaya then told Starney to sail the ship to Elidia and wait for them there this was just a detour that they had to take for one of their comrades and she would be with him soon. They all boarded Thalmus’s Bone Dragon and took off into the skies. Thalmus thought and said, “Lets see what Raynard is doing.” he said as he pulled out a crystal ball as it floated and showed Raynard rowing his boat waiting for Vlad to appear.

Raynard finally saw a white ship come his way with Vlad at the foot of the ship smiling as he told his men to bring aboard Raynard as they moved alongside him. Soon Raynard was onboard the ship as he was welcomed by Vlad as they went into the back to converse privately. They ate and were talking as Vlad said his plans to Raynard about attacking Elidia firs and then Moravia as he listened intently. Vlad then pulled out a musket as he smiled. “You see… I like your methods Raynard, if you don’t trust them… just shoot them… right?” he said as was commenting about what he did to Dake. Raynard smiled and said yes to Vlad’s comment as he watched him. Vlad quickly turned the mustket on Raynard without giving Raynard a chance to react as he shot him dead in the chest. Vlad then walked over as he smiled showing off his fangs as he sank his teeth in Raynard as he walked away. “Now then… Let us see.” he said as he walked to the door as he slowly saw the Gold Ring Raynard was wearing glowed as he was healed from the shot and bite. Raynard quickly woke up and gasped as he held his chest where the bullet hole was.

Vlad laughed as he watched. “I knew you had the ring I just never thought it would work like that. But no matter, our arrangement is terminated.” he said as he ran and jumped ship to his flying fortress. “A Farewell present Raynard. Keep the ship… I have no need of it now. not while I have this… my FLYING FORTRESS.” he said to him.

Raynard was angered and irrate as he yelled to Vlad, he will regret what he did to him. Vlad as a final insult shot at him again in his hand as Raynard winced. “See you later Raynard… I enjoyed our business together.” he said as he went into his fortress.

Raynard seeing the ship he then folded his arms and check around seeing the crew was prisoners but now Raynard had a new crew and a new ship which he named, The Winter’s Sarrow. Freeing them and getting the ship underway he saided for Elidia and told the crew to dock once they got there.

Thalmus smiling said. “Okay… lets bring him to us.” he said as he waved his hands and Raynard appeared through a teleportation spell landing on the Dragon. Spooked Raynard looked around as he saw it was his comrades. “Good to see you… Raynard. this is the 2nd time you died… was the expierience enlightening?” Thalmus jested.

Ater a bit of chatter and joking aside they finally arrived to a house that seemed to be in another existance… similar to a flying fortress but magical energies were around it. “This is my home. We are here to hear what my father’s will has to offer. I just heard he just now passed away.” he said.

Everyone was baffled. Thalmus’s father… and already Thalmus was old, very old. They landed and were greeted by 3 of Thalmus’s family members. His Sister and her 2 children aka his Niece and Nephew. At first look they could see something was off about them with how they looked. Thalmus then whispered to them. “Interbreeding.” he said as everyone showed signs of disgust, Some more apparent then others.

As they went in and finally sat in the dinning room. Leonnel and Raynard went to the bar to get something to drink. Raynard wanted something hard and Leonnel just asked for a sweet whine like the elves because he was uneasy. As dinner was given and finally all arrangement were done it was time to announce the finnal wishes from Thalmus’s Father. But they were interupted by a bang as a man came flying out from his lab. “Almost got it… just a bit more tweeking.” he said with no eyebrows on him but wearing some goggles.

Raynard took a major interest but Thalmus said now wasn’t the time… that they needed to get this done first then would worry about their other guest later. The golem bartender took out the will and explained all about who would get what. The biggest shock was Thalmus’s sister and her children got nothing because of their arrogance and Thalmus was left the house, and all of its contents. This erupted into a fight, a wizard’s duel against brother and sister while her children went to try and gain control of the castle. The castle spun out of control, shifting through realms of magic as our heroes lept into action. Talimos having enough of this during the fight used his magic to defeat the Nephew as he fell hurt and crying and soon he came to the other family memeber as she shreeked in fear of Talimos as she saw even though he wasn’t of pure blood in her mind… he was overwhelmingly more powerful then her.

After the battle Thalmus banished his family from the castle teleporting them away. However the final gift given to Thalmus was a box of magical books. Although he had already read them all he gave them to Talimos and said, “Each one of these 6 books will give you power. Use them well my pupil.” he said. Talimos smiled and took them eager as he looked to the others. he gave each one of his allies one book and he kept 2 for himself.

Upon opening the books each one was given a great surge of power and Talimos gaining the greatest amount of knowledge was even more powerful then the rest of the group now. Runeaya now was the strongest member in terms of strength. Drake now had the perfect balance of magic and weapons training making him the most versitile of the group. Raynard had the greatest amount of health pratically making him the only known front liner Rouge of his time. Leonel finally gaining the 2 spells that would aid him and his allies even more but the biggest change was Wulf, his wolf companion. The Magic from the book made him grow to the size of a horse as he barked happily.

With the last bit of power in the castle Thalmus teleported them to Elidia now they were going to prepare for the inevitable. Vlad was coming and this was going to be an all out war.

Mucumbé and the Second Ring

May 18, 2012 23:34

The party was lead into the lizard men city bound and on their way to be imprisoned. They passed a rotten tree with flags from lands the lizards had conquered. Among the colors were the flags of the Black Talon tribe and also Rune’s village. The party questioned the lizard men about the flags and explains what they were doing on the island. Raynard showed the leader the ring the party had acquired from the north. The scaly man recognized it as being similar to “Mucumbay’s” ring.
Raynard realized the lizard men must worship the god of war and bluffed and convinced the tribe that the party had fought with Mucumbay. The tribe cheered and applauded them. The group was unbound and Rune’s flag was given back to her with the gods name stitched onto the bottom of it.
The group inquired the leader of the lizard city about the ring that was supposedly on the island. The leader informed them it was indeed on the island but that now an acid dragon guards it. Before he would tell them were the dragon was he wanted the adventurers to prove that they were really Mucumbay’s followers and told them to bring him the eye of the evil lizard king; a T-Rex. The party agreed and took one more night of rest and a night of impressing the lizard men with magic and tricks before heading back to their ship.
Once back to the ship Raynard realized that half his crew is missing. The other half informed him that they sent out a search party against Raynard’s wishes and instructions. The party sent the ship around the island close to the shore as the adventurers go in search of the search party and the T-Rex.
Screams of men and roars from a large creature led the adventurers to the T-Rex. A few of the search party had already been eaten. The party had readied a plan to shoot the canons at the lizard if they could get it close enough to the shore. Rune jumped on her horse and got the T-Rex’s attention. She kicked her horse into a gallop headed for the water; the lizard hot on her heals. Soon she led the monster into range and the ship just off shore fired the cannons at Raynard’s command. The beast went down after only two hits caving in the things chest and skull.
Drake took bone from the lizard with plans of creating bone armor. Others took bone to make weapons. Leonel cut the eye from the monsters skull to prove to the Lizard man leader they had accomplished their goal.
The lizard man praises the adventurers and begins to plan the attack on the dragon. Three lizard men also come along to help. After finding the cave the party entered and found the black dragon asleep. They took positions around the dragon and once the signal was given they let loose their spell and weapons. The dragon woke in pain and enraged. The black nightmare waved its tail knocking down Drake. It spewed acid on those who stood in front of its mouth.
The next round of spells and weapons were let loose and the dragon ran from the cave with the party far behind. Rocks caved in and blocked the party from perusing the nearly dead acid dragon.
The party healed and took a breath before moving deeper in to the dragon’s lair. A deep hole in the floor of the cave led to a network of ruined passages. Torches in hand the party followed them. They came to two statues, one on either side of the walk. The carved figures resembled beings of the angelic race. One by one they carefully passed. Only Raynard and Leonel felt a slight surge of magical energy pas through their bodies upon passing.
At the end of the passage they found a statue of the god of war “Mucumbay”, in his hand was the silver ring they were in search of. They took the ring and headed back. An army of undead lead by the evil Vlad stood in their path to the surface. Beside Vlad was the human form of the dragon they had fought above and Dake. On the floor at Dake’s feet was a woman and a friend of Raynard’s, bound and weeping. Raynard shot Dake in the head with his gun on sight.
After an exchange of unfriendly words Raynard realized they weren’t going to make it out of the cave without handing over the ring. A plan formed in his head as he removed the ring from his pocket and handed it over. His party was cross with him, but hesitating in stopping him, trusting that his betrayal had a purpose.

The Finding of the Ring

April 30, 2012 17:25

Once the party had rested a few days the village leader told them he knew were the ring they sought would be if it was even on the island. The man told them that there was a cave to the north that every man that had entered had never returned. The group decided that this must be were the ring was and ignored the warnings not to go. They left the next morning with Starney who agreed to travel with them.
After almost a half days hike they came to the mouth of a cave. Around the opening ancient writings and runes covered the wall. Talimos attempted to read the writing. The language was celestial, but the meaning of the words was not known to the wizard. They decided to enter the mouth of the cave carefully with Raynard going first. The natural cave became a wide stone masonry hall. Near the end of this hall a row of totems stood facing each other. Raynard searched the floor and found that a few of the stones were pressure pads. Not wanting to find out what trap they would release he warned the group and carefully tried to step around them. Accidently the toe of his boot pushed on one of the pressure pads and set it off. A dart from the totem next to him shot at him slicing the back of his knee.
Carefully the rest of the party set off the rest of the pressure pads using the skeletons around the room until all the darts were emptied out of the totems. Raynard was healed and they continued on. The hall narrowed forcing them to walk single file. Raynard, still leading the group, peered around the corner at the end of the hall and noticed one stone elf statue with a curve blade. There was one on each side that faced each other. These were motion sensed magic and swung their weapons hitting the wall. In turn the party each jumped through with minimal damage done.
A statue of a dwarf leaning on a keg greeted them unkindly by coming to life and spewing fire in their direction. Raynard shot the barrel cutting of the fire’s fuel. To avoid the fire that had already spewed from the thing’s mouth the party ducked into a room top their rite, shutting the wooden door.
This room was empty accept for a covered drain on the floor and a chest sitting on the opposite wall from the door. Raynard approached the chest and began to open it. The door behind them magically locked itself and Rune attempted to break the door down. When the chest was open it appeared to everyone accept Talimos to be treasure. With Talimos’s amulet it let him see what was really in the chest. It was a note that read “you done goofed”.
Slats in the ceiling opened letting water flood the room. Rune broke down the door, water spilling to flood this room as well. Now trudging through a few inches of murky water the party took a breath and headed to the next door, Raynard still in the front. Only a few feet from the door the floor gave way and Raynard fell. Falling Raynard unsheathed his daggers and dug them into the earthy walls of the pit. Finally he came to a stop the acid at the bottom eating away at his boots. A rope was lowered to him and the party pulled him up. They used the door from the other room to make a bridge and one by one they carefully crossed.
They entered another stone room but this one had pyramid steps, the tallest point in the center of the room. There was no door out of this room. Talimos’s amulet showed him that the far wall was an illusion. With slight persuading Talimos showed the party the wall was fake and they all walked through, accept Rune. For Rune it took her a good half an hour to finally believe the wall was fake.
Once everyone was through the wall a green line lay from wall to wall in front of them. Talimos read the writing written in the same language as the runes on the entrance of the cave. He discerned that crossing the green meant something about flames; taking this warning they devised a plan to run quickly and grab the steal lock box on the dais on the other side of the room and run back avoiding the summoning circle like runes on the floor. Leonel and Raynard stepped over the green at a run, as soon as their feet were over the line a wall of fire rose up scorching all who stood behind the line and spread racing after the two sprinting across the stone floor.
The rest of the party screamed in pain as fire licked their faces and exposed skin. They ran trying to get ahead of the fire; it was their only escape. Rune stepped on one of the four rune drawings on the ground. She was teleported back to one fully engulfed in flame. Starney and the others raced to the other teleportation pad and were sent to a pad just outside of the flames. Rune was the last to reach the rune. The party hoped and prayed that the fire would not climb the dais. The group stood watching and waiting on the dais till the fire licked the edge of the platform and then slowly receded back to the green line. The party sighed in relief.
In the box was a simple gold ring. Raynard slipped it onto his finger with no reaction. The party traveled back town and rested a few days before deciding that they had what they came for and the next ring is what they needed to seek out. They gathered their supplies and stayed one last night to rest. Drake and Raynard enjoyed spirits from the tavern, which Raynard consumed too much and awoke the next morning with a new bride he had no memory of marrying.
Raynard’s new wife and Starney became a permanent edition to the group although Raynard’s wife only stayed on the ship because of her lack of fighting skill. Once arriving at the southern island they began to search for a town, but no civilization was to be found. They decided to split up and search the island. They would meet on the other side and then search the center of the island together. Leonel, Rune and Starney’s group marched along the shoreline. They discovered a few old villages that’s had obviously been in ruin for many years.
Drake, Raynard and Talimos’s group traveled around the shoreline in the opposite direction and through the forest line. Drake’s griffin brought reports back to him about huge long necked scaly creatures walking around on the parts of the island it was sent to scout.
The two groups met up and exchanged information after a week of walking. They set off together in search of some form of intelligent life form that had left the ruins. The party was almost to the center of the island when lizard men found them and surrounded them. With a little talking the party convinced them that they had no idea this was their island and also convinced them not to attack and eat them. The party was then lead to the lizard men city to be held… for now.

The Winter King

April 15, 2012 23:12

Drake and Raynard walked the perimeter of the town in hope to find a trace of the Winter King, as the town’s folk called him, while Talimos and Runeaya headed to the tavern to rent rooms for the party and speak with town’s people to see if they had any other information on this Winter King. Rite as entering Runeaya noticed a blond man in a fancy business suit chatting it up with almost every girl in the tavern in turn. The man wasn’t bad looking at all according to Rune’s taste in men. The man noticed her as she walked in and excused himself instantly heading in her direction. He started hitting on her but it had no effect on Rune.
Talimos and the man, who was named Starney, started talking and in the end Talimos got a new custom fitted suit at half price. Although half price, it was still beyond what the group was willing to pay for it. The tailor’s son was one that was taken by the Winter King so Talimos proposed a deal; if he could get back the man’s son and stop the “King” he wondered if he could get a better deal on the outfit. The tailor agreed and gave him two weeks to complete the job or pay full price.
The next day an arrow hit the roof of a hut in the small village with a note with a sixteen year old girl’s name. The ones chosen in the past and the same with this one was expected to march into the forest alone by the next day’s sundown or face the wrath of Winter King’s white dragon. The town always complied with heavy hearts sending their children into the forest.
Runeaya volunteered to be disguised as the girl and go instead of the poor village girl with no fighting abilities. Raynard helped Rune with her disguise. Soon Rune marched into the woods with no weapons or armor; her party followed behind her though they were a long ways off. Starney volunteered to come along with the party to help any way he could; being skilled in the blade. In the sky Rune noticed something flying near the mountain. The thing grew as it approached until the dragon landed in front of her with the Winter King on its back.
The man held out his hand. “Come with me.”
Rune was hesitant and questioned the man with no success. The man would give nothing away. She had no choice to climb up on the dragon, refusing the man’s helping hand. The dragon took off carrying them to the snowy mountain. Once in a cave the “King” took Rune to a plush room with a bed for one, comfy chairs and food. He told her she could stay here instead of behind bars if she behaved and didn’t wander off. Rune agreed and was left in the room with no explanation of why she was there and with no sign of any of the other children.
Meanwhile the rest of the party took horses from the town and rode to the base of the mountain and then started to climb their way up to the entrance. They avoided the dragon’s entrance and found a stairway down.
Rune waited a half hour in her room until she was sure the man was away from the door. She peeked her head out of her door and discovered that the Winter King had posted no guards at her door and he was no were to be seen. Rune decided that wandering off meant leaving the cave, not her room. She took this “freedom” and wandered to one of the three doors. In turn she visited almost every room discovering an indoor pool, the “King’s” sleeping quarters, a storage room, a treasure room and others. She never touched anything in the rooms afraid of traps and magic with no protection from her armor or friends. Soon she headed back to her room so if someone came looking for her she was where she was supposed to be.
The party descended the steps and split up to travel through the three doors, Starney unknowingly chose the door that led to Rune’s room. Rune was grateful to see him and her other friends. Rune warned Raynard that worked on picking a lock to one of the three doors that she was certain the “King” went through earlier. They decided to explore the rest of the rooms and confront him later. As Rune led them to the many different rooms Starney hardly left her side. Talimos used a spell to summon Rune’s clothing to her and obtained an idea to create a spell that would strip cloths from people as well.
Rune led the party to the Winter King’s quarters that were still unoccupied. The room was dimly lit, a double bed lay against one wall, a chest and a dresser on the other. A stage was set up on the far wall. Three switches were placed on the wall next to the door. Curiosity overwhelmed Starney and he flipped the first switch. A round ball with thousands of small squares of mirrors slid out from a trap door in the ceiling hanging in the center of the room. Magic stones in a few places on each wall shined gentle light on the ball reflecting the light all around the room without lighting up to room to much. The group stared at the fixture amazed at the effect. Starney flipped the second one against the party’s wishes and on the stage a metal pole was lowered connecting to the floor. Starney’s eye’s sparkled as he proceeded to flip the last switch. Loud seductive music that they had never heard before filled the room as if it came from everywhere. There were no people playing instruments that they could see yet music played. Starney turned to Rune and began to sing to her. Rune couldn’t help herself she started to feel attracted to this man.
The group raided the chest and dresser in the room next. They found many magic items that at first glance seemed harmless but their purpose was much filthier. They also found some potions one of which was labeled with the name of a plant that was used for sexual interactions. The other two were unknown and the group had no intention of testing them at the moment.
They still had to encounter and deal with the “King” in the room at the other end of the hall. Considering the things they had discovered in the man’s room they guessed at what his intent for Rune was. Raynard and Rune devised a plan to once again have Rune be a distraction so they could figure out what was going on. Rune dressed in the lingerie she found in a dresser of the man’s room and took the magic items as well and traveled to the room the “King” had entered before. The plan was to act like she was attempting to seduce him and have Raynard, with his invisibility ring on, sneak into the room and knock the man prone so that they could question him.
Rune entered shooting the Winter King a seductive look holding the bottle of plant liquid in her hand offering it to the man. He seemed displeased and explained that he could not mix work and pleasure. Rune was confused and instead began to question the man about why he was taking children. He explained that a man named Vladimir hired him to take them and hold them till his arrival. He explained that he understood Vlad needed them to complete some sort of scrying spell to find a ring that was supposedly on the island.
Raynard, still invisible, approached the “King” drawing his gun slowly and silently. The Winter King spun his head and looked straight at Raynard’s invisible form. “You know,” he began. “I’ve never been good at magic.” Raynard drew his weapon and pointed it at the man turning himself visible, only to be thrown back at the wall by some unknown force. “But I do have this wonderful gift of phyonics.” The man smiled wickedly and summoned mists with a wave of his hands. Then he slipped out a trap door in the back of the room.
Starney raced to Rune’s side to ensure she was safe and unharmed. Talimos summoned Rune’s armor and clothing as the rest of the group prepared to go after the Phyion. Charging through the trap door they found the “King’s” female sex slaves standing and ready to fight. The party managed to hold them prone while the magic users of the group dispelled the magic runes in the corners of the cave cutting off most of the Phyion’s abilities.
A corridor led them to the dragon’s lair were The Phyion was struggling to gain control over the dragon. Rune and Drake sprang into action and smashed the crystal behind the Winter king that he was using to attempt control over the dragon. When finally free of the physic connection the dragon spun his head to the Phyion and took a breath to prepare his breath weapon. Starney, realizing what the dragon was doing, darted across the cave and jumped in front of Rune to take the blow for her. The three: Drake, Rune and Starney all came close to death. Runeaya although very weak, held Starney’s cold, unconscious, dying body in her arms until Leonel stabilized him.
The dragon flew from the cave and used its breath weapon to freeze the dead “King’s” home in the mountain murdering all of the children inside that the adventurers failed to find and rescue in time.
Once back to the town and things settled and the party recovered from their injuries Rune finally did grace Starney with a night of pleasure…

To Save A Princess

April 03, 2012 22:55

The adventurers set out to save the elven princess from a giant that was said to have taken her for, to the elves, no apparent reason. The party stumbled across a crumbling keep in the wilderness with a giant perched on top. The group managed to stay out of sight long enough to come up with a rough idea of how to handle the situation. Raynard carefully approached the giant not wanting to straight out attack while the others snuck around the walls of the keep seeking another entrance.
Luckily for Raynard the giant was not swift to violence. There was a chance to reason with this, commonly thought stupid, monster. Raynard pulled information from Olaf slowly but effectively, despite Raynard’s fear of the towering beast, with little other than a few “minor tussles”. The giant was hired by a noble man from the city who went by the name of Dake. Dake promised the giant gold, food and other treasures including assistance in the giant’s wife’s pregnancy by way of magic, in payment of the capture of the princess.
By the time it had taken to pull information carefully from the monster, Drake had made his way into the keep unseen by the giant although not unseen by the watchdogs. Drake scurried to a nearby door to escape the teeth and possible chance of alerting any unwanted ears by the slobbering beasts barks. He found himself in a basement and by his guess this keep used to be an elven outpost long since abandoned. Drake picked his way through aged cots and chests holding nothing of any real value, until he reached the far corner. There he found many items, magical and not, that would most certainly aid the party in many battles to come.
Meanwhile Leonel, Runeaya and Talimos devised a plan to sneek into a window on the second story of the keep by standing on Runaya’s horse. The plan was in mid-stride when the giant agreed to allow Raynard into his keep. The party fled from the window to prevent being seen by Olaf and also the sleeping female giant they discovered on the other side of the window.
Raynard and the giant didn’t get farther then just outside the front gate before Raynard steered the conversation to Olaf joining their side and handing over the princess. The towering beast did not seem to excited to join. The balance of things Olaf might gain though the new alliance seemed slim in comparison to Dake’s promise.
Standing at the corner of the keep listening to the conversation between the man and monster was the rest of the party with spells and weapons at the ready in case the negotiation went sour. In the distance, ahead of the keep, the sounds of a small marching army came into range. The adventurers knew instantly that it was Dake come to collect the princess and that if they wanted to survive the coming battle the giants would have to be on their side.
Raynard again attempted to persuade the giant to switch sides. Olaf seemed to be considering the offer, but the approaching squad of men was not helping. Finally the Towering giant smiled and agreed to hand over the princess to the side that stood victorious in the end. Raynard and the others took what they could get from a creature who only seeks what benefits him and readied themselves for battle.
As Dake’s men rounded the base of a hill and came into view the adventurers broke their strategy huddle and took positions. Runeaya kicked her horse into a gallop and rode around the other side of the hill to attack from behind. Leonel summoned a fire ball and rolled it through the small marching army. Drake, having escaped the basement and the dogs, unsheathed his scimitars and attacked Dake who had reached the party first by the speed of his horse. Raynard, having a long unfriendly history with Dake, was challenged to a duel. Talimos pulled a wand from his cloak and summoned an elemental to attack the mage flanking the squad of men. Runeaya charged the mage with her lance crashing it full force into his chest knocking him to his back. The mage rolled before he could be trampled by the horse, but caught Talimos’s magic missile sending him to his grave.
Soon all that was left was Dake. The adventurers had him surrounded. From his cloak he pulled an orb that he smashed on the ground releasing a smoky haze. When the wind had cleared it, he was gone. Dake teleported to the top of the keeps walls and grabbed the princess. Olaf’s wife grabbed her club and swung at Dake only to be shot before getting close.
Leonel ran to stabilize Olaf’s wife as Dake teleported down and started to run. The adventurers ran after him with spells and weapons as a response. Runeaya charged after him on her horse. Spiders swarmed Dake as Leonel’s spell went off. The princess screamed at the sight of the arachnids. Runeaya grabbed her arm and quickly pulled her onto her horse galloping away to safety. Dake teleported away once again but this time was nowhere to be found.
One of the men in Dake’s army was found injured but still alive. Raynard proceeded to question him with no intention of being friendly, but before any important information could be obtained, the man lost a card game with Raynard, but Raynard said to him, “be our spy and live or I give you to the giant.” The man said he couldn’t and with that was given to the giant.
With the princess safe and newly gained giant allies, the mostly satisfied adventurers began the long trek back to the elven city to return the princess back to her Father and people. With a kind word about Leonel from Runeaya to the elven princess she found herself lingering at Leonel’s side a bit longer than anyone else’s.
Upon reaching the City the Princess gave praise to the group that saved her but more praise to Leonel. Leonel was stunned and a bit confused. Raynard just patted his back and said, “Enjoy it for now.”

Finding the ship, Tournaments and a howling good time

April 03, 2012 22:54

Finally our heroes had braved the realm of hell and came back victorious with their 2 fallen heroes Raynard and Leonel resurecte
They decided to split up for a while and head to different locations to help with their quest and meet back up. Leonel went to get the armor he was waiting for a long time… the strongest armor that he have through the use of magic that was as strong as steel but light as leather.
Raynard went to enchant his weapons to insure that he would have a ‘edge’ in the fights to come.
Runeaya and Drake went about to find more information about what could of happened to their ship and also any information about the mysterious Vlad. Talimos went to a library to see any other spells, enchantments or wisdom he can obtain.
Runeaya and Drake were able to find out the ship that they were on was in fact here in Moravia and meeting up with Raynard and Leonel they told them what they found out. Taking this to heart the left quickly and headed for the docks, finding a row boat and took it to look for their missing ship. They found it but it was being watched by soldiers as they continued to get closer finally the guard saw them and yelled, “Halt!”
They stopped as they all looked up. “This ship is now the property of Moravia. What is your business here?” the guard asked.
“What? That ship is ours… it was given to us.” Leonel said a bit puzzled.
“Your ship? Impossible… unless you are… TO ARMS! BANDITS! THEIVES! PIRATES!” he yelled to his fellow people.
The group looked at Leonel enraged as he shurgged. “how do you go from asking a simple question to being the bad guys?” he asked them.
Unfortunately they had to fight but Raynard and Drake jumped ship and swam to their captured vessel as Runeaya and Leonel were rowing to the boat.
Once onboard Raynard and Drake went to working fighting and soon all of the men were defeated but Raynard was challeneged to a duel and accepted. While Raynard was fighting Leonel went to healing Drake and Runeaya from their fight until Raynard would need backup.
Raynard won and his fallen foe was then stablized by Leonel after Raynard asked him not to have him die… it was the honorable thing to do.
After some conversation Raynard found out that Dake… his rival and now bane to his existance was now taking orders from Vlad, making him wonder what was the angle with all of this. Raynard let him go and told him to give Vlad, that he was coming for him.
Raynard victorious now was happy and gave the ship a name. The Murraders Folly. Now with their ship back they went back to Moravia to find a crew… Runeaya heard of a tournament and decided to enter. Only making it to the 3rd round she was defeated and made enough to cover for her entry fee. Drake and Raynard decided to compete also in combat and archery. however they didn’t make it past the peliminaries but good did come out of it. Because they entered people heard of them looking for a crew for their ship. and in no time… they had a crew ready and waiting for them to board the “Folly”.
Finally they were ready to get going and thanks to Raynard’s skills they were able to sell many of the goods on the ship to the other towns down the lake as they were heading for the Elven Village for their next stop. However once they got there they found that the place was not cheerful and something was very wrong…

Revival... At Hells Gate. Into the Fireie depths of darkness

April 01, 2012 00:13

Raynard was stuck in his limbo. In a vast wilderness where there was nowhere to go. He would run for what seems like days only to be back where he started. Each time he tried to find a way out but it was no use. He was stuck and he grew more and more frustrated. The one who cursed him, the one that was making him suffer, and the one he wanted to have his revenge upon. All he did was yell and scream in frustration that he was neither dead nor alive.

Leonel was stuck in his limbo as well. He was on the ground in pure blackness; the leaves, dirt and grass giving him no comfort of his death at the hands of the Drow Priestess. His eyes heavy as he tried to open his eyes as they were blurry as he was surrounded by Shaman, masters of the Druid Arts. They all looked at him as if praying in the Druidic Language. One Shaman stepped forward looking at him. This Shaman was the Wolf Shaman looking at him. “Is that all boy?” he seemed to ask. “Are you now going to lay there and die?” he continued to ask. Leonel growled from that question as he was gritting his teeth to get up. “I… I will not die.” Leonel said as he was fighting to get up. The wait of the world felt upon him as if forcing him to stay down. He continued to struggle till he was now on his knees.

Suddenly as if answered by forces unknown they both said at the same time. “I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!!!” and with that a blinding white light encompassed them seeming to revive them but in chains and bags over their heads.

Back in the Capital of Moravia; Talimos, Runeaya, Roxalia and Drake were making their way to a Temple to honor the dead. Having been on the road for 3 weeks and finally fully rested to recover from their wounds they were going to give Raymond’s body a last place of rest and also pay their respects to Leonel thinking he was dead or enslaved.

Once entering the temple one of the priests greeted them and said they were expecting them. Tales of the adventurers from stopping a massacre of Elidia and also their exploits told by the Grey Wanderer that they would be to Moravia sooner or later.

The adventurers were baffled as they came in to rest and also the priests continued to explain. They had the power to revive their fallen comrades but at a handsome price. Through some negotiations they agreed that they would pay them all they had and also pay them the rest once they had it. They said they would do so by asking the Grey Wanderer or by any other means.

They were told it would take some time for the preparations so in the meantime go explore the city. They did and going back and forth finding two towers housing magical items and enchantments. Talimos, and Drake tried to have a merger but it was no use so they just left and went to the larger tower and made their deals.

Heading back they watched seeing the ritual was being performed as they prepared and used the great magic to call forth their fallen allies only to see it phiz out and fail. Unknown for the reasons why the priests, clerics, mages and all investigated to fight out they were revived. Their bodies vanishing on the mortal plane and were now…IN HELL.

The remaining Adventurers were baffled as to how it was even possible that living souls were in the realm of hell. Was the mastermind behind all of this, and if so… why? What was he to gain by reviving 2 souls in the realm of Hell itself?

Distraught and confused they didn’t know how to either help or get to that realm without killing themselves. At that moment the adventurous woman that they helped in Elidia, finding one of the many shields came in to tell the cleric that when all 3 shields are found they create a portal to anywhere you wish to travel. The adventurers widened their eyes as the woman they helped smiled and said hello to them with her explanation.

The Adventurers agreed to go to hell and rescue their 2 fallen comrades. While in hell Leonel and Raynard were whispering to each other that whoever revived them had some sort of angle. They were being forced to march as they could summarize that they were in a part of Hell not past the gates of Hell.

Our Adventurers going to the building where the shields were housed stepped to the portal but had to tell something truthful about themselves to allow the portal to take them. Each stepped up and said out loud their inner truth and each one was teleported to the realm of Hell.

Finally near the gates of Hell Leonel and Raynard stood ready as they were still thinking if they could escape. Raynard was already working on freeing his arms while Leonel was thinking of what spells he could use at his disposal. The rescuers were running as fast as they could following the trail that Leonel and Raynard left while being bound hoping to reach them before they were too late.

Leonel and Raynard could hear the sounds of large metal being bagged upon as they knew they were near the gates of Hell. Leonel asked again quietly, “you free yet?” “Almost just a bit more time,” Raynard said.

Also present at the gates of hell was the Drow Priestess saying that she was sent to ensure that both made it through the gate. Leonel growled hearing her voice was he was growing more and more frustrated as this was to be his last insult. The guards that were guiding them pulled the bags over Leonel and Raynard’s head to finally show them what hells gates were.

At that very moment Talimos, Runeaya, Roxalia, Drake and the zombie friend “Stinky” who tagged along. The guards and the Drow Priestess gasped in shock as they saw that now it was going to be a fight. Talimos stepped forward as he pointed his fingers and held an orb given to him by the priests that if they found them to use this power. Talimos cast the spell as the orb vanished and once the beam touched Raynard and Leonel they were fully equipped with all their lost equipment. Leonel and Raynard smiled as Raynard freed himself from his bound wrists and with his sword cut Leonel’s bounds. With that Leonel and Raynard then with their own swords cut their chains on their legs and were ready to fight.

The Despite the odds against our heroes they won. Raynard without doing much was able to defensively throw 3 of his attackers into a pool of acid and defeated one in combat. Leonel once free saw Talimos, Roxalia, Runeaya and Drake fighting the Drow Priestess on a floating discus where she and 2 of her archers were attacking from the air. Leonel in a fit of rage ran to get in range and called forth a hellish swarm of Bats to attack her. The bats rose from behind the gates of hell and attacked her relentlessly. She was screaming and yelling at Leonel, “I will kill you!!!” But Leonel did nothing as he let the swarm do the rest as he went to heal his allies that were hurt.

Finally they won as Raynard was talking with one of the prisoners and also the only survivor while Leonel dragged the Drow Priestess to the gates of hell and waited for her to wake up. Once she did Leonel just stood over her and asked. “You want to be stabbed with the dagger or the sword?” he asked narrowing his eyes. The Drow Priestess smiled and said. “Your small dagger, little man,” She said in defiance. Leonel narrowed his eyes and stabbed her leg and dug his dagger, twisting it into her thigh. She was screaming in pain from that as she looked at him almost with tears from the pain and anger that she was now being tortured. “What you feel isn’t even a fraction of what you did to me. I am going to make you suffer long and hard woman until you beg for mercy and it won’t come!” Leonel said.

Her torment was long as she screamed only to be healed so the psychological pain would last longer. After what seemed like hours Raynard came over and said. “Alright Leonel just kill her now… she’s screamed more than enough and you stabilized her a lot.” Leonel just looked at her, then pinning her against the wall. The Drow Priestess was begging him not to kill her as Leonel pulled out his scimitar. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t kill you right now.” Leonel said. “Because if you kill me you kill you unborn child.” She said.

Leonel gasped and widened his eyes from that. Raynard just said from that remark, “She’s lying… she has to be. Kill her now!” Leonel was hesitant as he continued to pin her against the wall. “Are you lying to save your own life?!” he yelled to her. “No I’m not… I swear I’m not… I’m pregnant. I live the child lives; you kill me the child dies.” She said scared.

Leonel close his eyes as he looked to Raynard. “Let me have a private moment with her… please Raynard. You’ll have your turn.” He said. Raynard huffed as he turned his back. “Tell me now… are you pregnant?” Leonel said to her. “Yes… yes I am. I got pregnant only to prove that I can… the child will be a half-drow and because of that it will be killed. Half-bloods don’t live long in the Underdark,” she said.

Leonel looked at her as he then grabbed her throat. “I will let you go but know this. I find out you told me a lie I will find you… I will kill you and I will take your head. However you will go to Elidia next year for me to see your status on the child. The child will be mine to raise and take care of, you will have no ties to it… ever!” He said.

The Drow Priestess agreed as Leonel shoved her against the wall. “Don’t kill her Raynard.” He said as Raynard said. “Fine but she’s not walking away unscarred.” He said as he walked up to the Drow Priestess and started to write on her forehead ‘Unclean.’ Through all the screams and the healing spells he finished as he sheathed his dagger. “This is your call only this time Leonel.” Raynard warned as he walked away. Leonel looked to the Drow Priestess one last time as she lay their shaking from the torment she endured.

Finally all the adventurers walked back but “Stinky” who decided to stay. With the whole group back together they now were going to plan their next move and also rest once more.

Kidnapped. From bad to Worst.

March 31, 2012 01:21

Our Adventurers landed themselves kidnapped and put in cells as trophies for the Drow to be sent to the underdark as personal slaves. When they awoke they saw there were in cells all except Drake. He was chained up hand a bag put over his head.

Everyone pondered as the guard laughed at them saying it was only a matter of time. Leonel, Runeya, Roxalia, and Talimos sat their thinking as Raynard was already ploting to break out. using what metals, straw, sticks and whatnot available.

Finally the guard fell asleep as Raynard sugested to Drake to wake him up and see if he could work his magic on the guard while he broke free and snuck up behind him. Drake agreed and yelled at the guard to wake up. After a lot of verbal comments the Guard got frustrated and went to Drake. Drake continued to pester him until he finally punched him. Drake then touching the Guard’s sword with his foot made the sword come out an start attacking its weilder. Raynard however got out and asisted in taking down the Guard by stealing his own dagger and stabbing him with it. Raynard then freed Drake and with the keys unlocked the door to everyones cells.

After looking around they found a locker with their normal equipment there but all their magical items and equipment wasn’t there. So armed with just the essencials our Adventurers set out to brave this Dungeon.

Once they made it to the next room they saw their magical items over across the table and around them were small gargoyal statues. As they continued they were greeted by the Drow Priestess as she sat on her throne. All the Heroes stood ready and Raynard was feeling awkward as he seemed to be struggling in his mind.

The priestess smiled as she held up Raynard’s necklace. “Looking for this?” she asked him smiling as she played with it. Raynard’s eyes went wide as he knew even though that thing was evil without it his mind was unstable and he could become a threat to his Allies.

Leonel saw this and ran in close in hopes of getting it back for Raynard. Casting Frostbite on her she gasped as she was cold and fatigued but it wasn’t enough to let her drop the necklace.

That battle then truely started as she used her whip to not only knock back but also trip Leonel making him land hard on his back. “You will be mine Human.” she said angrily. Drake on the other hand was running over to where the magical items were as he got his back into his possesion.

The battle continued on while Raynard unable to fight off the influence of the necklace was now under the Priestess control. She ordered him to fight his comrades and started doing so while she also summoned the gargoyals to her aid.

Runeaya, and Roxalia however worked together and started to pumble on the Priestess as she was using a protective feild to either slow or miss the attacks but to the damage the barrier was barely working.

Leonel however seeing his freinds in danger yelled to Drake to throw him his songbird to help them with the priestess and also the gargoyals. Once Leonel got it he threw it into the air and the song from the bird was helping with their battle again. However he was dodging Raynard’s attack trying to stay alive. However his luck ran out as the priestess caught him in her whip and Raynard ran him through. The moment that happened Leonel’s songbird turned back to stone and fell back to the ground. The prietess screamed and yelled at Raynard not to kill the boy after he ran him through and Raynard held his head now he was trying to get away from the group after what he had just done.

The priestess finally was able to stablize Leonel but she was still being assaulted causing her to drop the necklace. With the help of the gargoyals she was able to flee in her weakened state.

Finally after defeating all the gargoyals Raynard reclaimed his necklace but the damage had been done, Leonel was gone. But they continued onward, the next room had a two headed dog and an intelligent zombie that was fighting it off.

Raynard and Drake went on ahead while the others stayed behind. Strangely enough the ones that stayed behind gained a new and strange ally. The zombie “Stinky”, was an odd one that somehow retained his intelegence and didn’t attack unless provoked. Runeaya fought with “Stinky” and one against the 2 headed dog.

Raynard and Drake however came upon 20 mercinaries as they ran away from the 2 headed dog. Raynard and Drake sighed and literally said. “We can’t catch a break.” And took on the 20 mercinaries. They won but they were pretty beaten up. Once they took a break they pushed on and Raynard began to pick the lock of a door. He was met with a trap as a wizard on the other side of the door attacked Raynard with a magic missile. He was blown back and bleeding out as he said. “Yeah… I dun goofed.”

Drake picking up Raynard saw more Mercenaries running after them as he was running downstairs. Once they were downstairs Roxalia went to work on Raynard trying to heal him but soon their efforts were in vain as Raynard died from loss of to much blood.

Our remaining adventurers pushed on and made it to the exit where a Mage waited or them with a powerful magical barrier. With all their might they attacked him breaking his forcefield and Talimos using his last Magic Missile struck the mage as he was struck and the force of the blast sent him flying and crashing into a wall and slowly turned to dust as if he was reanimated.

Once outside their found their were close to the Capital of Moravia. They decided to cover Raynards body and take it to the city to have it properly buried and as for Leonel he was either dead of worse in their minds as they headed to the capital exhausted from their battle.

As for Leonel he was Raped, Tortured and not fed any food for 3 weeks straight. The same time it took for the adventurers to make it to the capital. But each day he would stare at the priestess with hatred and vile disgust. Unable to transform into a wild shape and also wanting to kill her while being chained up, he swore whether in this life of the next he would have his vengeance.
