Coronet City, Corellia ~ Three Months After Endor
Rath, Cherrea and Bruce had just finished the recovery time from their cybernetic surgeries and were being released from the Corellian Medical Center at Coronet City. Sage had a streak of luck with private games of Sabacc, pulling down 50,000 credits in winnings and the deed to a Mimban Dolovite claim. Wakka had just finished the repairs to the Gryphon’s engines. Rath’s amphibious Calamari transport wouldn’t be ready for another ten days. Jade and Jarael had the Tapani Embassy deliver the Lambda class shuttle to Jade’s family on Pelagon and started drawing up plans and entering negotiations to buy a customized Corellian Corvette.
Half a dozen Imperial Star Destroyers had recently arrived in the Corellian System, bolstering the Imperial presence. Rumor had it that many more were on the way. Admiral Ackbar’s negotiations had failed, largely due to the Imperial attack on Coronet City during his visit. And despite an Alliance counter attack on General Weir’s hidden Tralus base, the Corellians weren’t eager to face the wrath of a growing Imperial fleet.

Gathering outside the Coronet City Cyberclinic, Sage’s Ronto One and Jarael and Cherrea’s Zoomatti Speeders waited for their allies to be discharged. Sage signed Bruce and Drek Dash onto his crew. Ryvar had to be bailed out of jail for a barfight. Rath bought a half million credit beach house where Cherrea could stay while she searched for underwater caves reputed to hold crystals to build a new lightsaber. Rath, Jade and Jarael each put in 1.2 million on their Corellian Corvette to be built. Rath bought a Loronar Skyshark. Wakka stuffed dead wamprats in the Gryphon’s vents and maintenance panels.
The two day trip to Mimban was uneventful, other than a brief confrontation between Sage and Wakka about the smell filling the ship. Threatened with an airlock walk, the jawa seemed to agree to allow a more pleasant aroma for humans to permeate the ship.
Upon arrival, Sage contacted the local landing authority and was guided through the mist-shrouded atmosphere to an Imperial landing platform. Unfortunately, they were greeted by thirty stormtroopers who arrested them and searched the ship.
In their small permacrete cells within the ziggurat that housed the Imperial forces, they began devising an escape plan. Rath used the Force to assess their opposition. In doing so, he detected Flambeaux and Ackbar among the other prisoners. The group managed to take out the twenty stormtroopers and four officers assigned to the detention center, freeing twenty Rebel troopers, as well as Ackbar and Flambeaux (who had lost his Force powers).
They learned that the Smoking Blaster had rushed here to Mimban fron Sullust when Rath’s mother had a premonition of a Sith Witch seeking a powerful Force artifact. It had sustained heavy damage from some weird lightening activity and crashed in the swamp some 70 kilometers away. The Life Witch and forty Storm Commandos had captured Flambeaux, Ackbar and the Troopers earlier that morning and turned them over for interrogation. Flambeaux had been taken down by the Life Witch using Force lightening, then injected with an anti-Jedi serum by the interrogation droid.
The group armed themselves and started to battlee their way out of the detention center. Stormtroopers had set up an ambush perimeter on the steps. Five EWEB repeaters were positioned above the exit, five T-21’s to either side, and ten troopers with E-11’s crouched below using steps as partial cover formed a firing line.
Bruce went down, but not before dropping grenades on the firing line. Rath charged the EWEB positions, taking one over and using it to hose the others. When the smoke cleared the group had dropped all thirty stormtoopers. Their best estimate was that another thirty stormtroopers and twenty scout troopers were left… somewhere.
