Minotaur Steppe
The Minotaur Steppes can be found about ten mezhevaya versta west from the Steadfast Mountain Range. A craggy, mostly barren land dotted with unusual rock formations and ancient riverbeds. The peculiar nature of the stone in the region coupled the annual week-long rains, carve a myriad of twisting caves and caverns into the sides of some of the larger formations.
The Aregion is perhaps best-known for the denizens that make up its namesake: a xenophobic pseudo-nation of cannibalistic Minotaurs who call themselves the Yacal.
Adobe and sandstone dwellings built along cliff walls dot some of the more secluded areas of the Steppes. These strange villages are often only accessible by rope or through careful hiking and rock climbing. The Yacal avoid these villages out of superstition or worse.
Local flora and fauna is consistent with the harsh and hot, nearly desert-like climate of the region with only a few notable exceptions.
