Terra

The world of Terra is a standard high magic fantasy world. Elves, Humans, Hobbits etc.. all live work and play. Civilization had risen to great and wondrous heights with two mighty empires spanning most of the main continent. Those Empires fell to each other in war. The ruins are reminders of what once was but the world has rebuilt and moved on. The far western region was forgotten about while the eastern half has reformed itself into a dozen countries of various sizes and sorts.

Humans dominate most of the nations with the non-humans either integrating into the societies or withdrawing to their own reservations and controlled zones within the larger nations. There are a few nations that are either controlled by non-humans or otherwise have a large degree of non-human power bases within them.

Orcs, ogres, trolls and monsters roam the land looking for the weak and unprotected to terrorize. Defenders arise from small villages and large towns alike. Magic runs strong in many and a devout heart can protect one as much as a solid plate of steel.
