For some, it has been proven that a new life means a new beginning. For some, it means that there can always be redemption. Today we proved that. Today could have gone much differently than it had. However, in this case we managed to do it right.
To begin with we found out what we died for today. The Thanes have disbanded and many of them were absorbed into this new gang. We were asked to see what happened and why. There is a lot of bad mojo going on. Someone or something is killing folks and ripping out their hearts. And somehow the Thanes are involved. Erik seems to have a good in with the under ground fighting, I hope that helps out. Ryan and myself a a potential problem due to the fact that we are not easy to forget, this should be interesting.
It was after the fight was set that we found out about the missing school bus. While narrowing down the search, I found that we had also been contacted by Charlie again pleading for help. Everything was connected. Turns out that those kids were kidnapped by Aztec scions and were to be sacrificed. There were just trying to contact their fathers. I can’t blame them. Its been a bit awkward being disconnect like this. But those kids had done nothing wrong. I could not stand by and watch that happen. We had to stop it, so we did. I just hope that this doesn’t come back and bit us like everything else we do.
Sometimes I’m not sure my role in the grand scheme that is this war. I understand other scions have to do what they have to do and I suppose I’m lucky to have a father that doesn’t require human sacrifice, but I’m not going to let it happen on my watch. Hector is assuming the battle is lost, but it isn’t from where I’m standing, we are getting stronger every day. I just hope he is smart enough to realize we spared his life, I didn’t want this fight but he left me no choice.
At least I have a little bit of recreation coming up. Got an underground fight set up, hopefully it gets us an in with these ex-thanes guys and we can figure out what is going on with the gang. I have this strange feeling that we are being watched though, after finding out you are a son of a god you don’t doubt when you get strange feelings…
