The Coming
The Coming refers to the day the mindflayers arrived in Telara and more loosely, to the period of war after their arrival. For those still using the traditional calendar, The Coming occurred on OC2735, about 50 years ago.
A brief timeline of The Coming:

| OC2746 – OC2761 | Wizard’s War. Mindflayers battle and ultimately defeat cabals of wizards that formed the backbone of the last significant resistance movements. |
| OC2762-OC2782 | The Mind Rebellion. Sorcerers born with innate magical ability band together and mount a major offensive, which is eventually brutally crushed. During the latter portion of the Mind Rebellion, the mindflayers begin testing all children for magical aptitude. Those showing magical ability are destroyed.
