Adventure Campaign
The Adventure Campaign, more commonly known by its abbreviation. The AC was an important military directive designed by Lieutenant Benson Withers. In an attempt to bolster Maycon’s army in a hurry, the military began hiring mercenaries and adventurers to fight for a certain amount of time for which they would be paid. While not cheap it did allow Maycon to field already equipped and train men and women into combat.
Maycon had been using mercenaries long before the AC was designed however the people of Maycon are very patriotic and find the idea of using mercenaries who fight for gold rather than a cause to be distasteful. Some members of Maycon society would go so far as to call mercenaries completely unreliable and blame them for any military shortcomings.
In order to disguise and make mercenary use more palatable Benson Withers designed the AC. Under the AC mercenaries would be hired into the military with similar terms and regulations much like a normal soldier. They would also be referred to as AC Soldiers rather than mercenaries. These AC Soldiers where then issued military proofs and given a rank before being assigned to to a regiment.
