Farendium
Estimated Population – 15,000 (7,000 Citizens)

The city of Farendium is classified only as a city because its population is severely boosted by a constant military presence. The city came about after Fort Ironfox was established. As a result a small town formed nearby for safety. The town grew up and expanded under the protecting shadow of Fort Ironfox and before long the two merged to form “The Military City” know today as Farendium.

The city of Farnedium is situated on a peninsula which extends out in The Tolka River. The approach along the the peninsula has been purposefully narrowed to an extreme making Farendium a very easily defended position.

Despite Victoria being the capital city of Maycon the bulk of its military are stationed in Farendium. From here the majority of military operations are composed and launched. The King’s military adviser, The Field Marshal, is also stationed here.

Farendium is divided into three parts. Fort Ironfox, The Outer City, and The Inner City. The Outer City and The Inner City make up Farendium Proper.

Fort Ironfox is off limits to all civilians and only a proper military proof will get someone inside the fort. Here all the soldiers are housed and feed. There is also a large administration building, a jail, and an armoury inside the fort.

The Inner City is where the merchants and trading areas can be found. These areas are are close to the Eavesdown Docks where luxury goods and expensive merchant wares come to port. Rides in and out of the city also come through these docks and the area can be just as busy if not more so than the Market Square. The Noble Residence can also be found in the Inner City directly behind Fort Ironfox.

The Outercity is where most of the cities citizens resides. The ground isn’t paved in the Outer City like it is in the Inner City but the Outer City is much larger. The Upnor Docks can be found in the Outer City, these docks unlike the Eavesdown Docks are where are the basic supplies come in. The things that keep a city running. There is a strong military presence here as well since this is where military goods unload. Not many people can be found in these docks who aren’t there to work.
