Curse my luck. The spike seems to have missed vital organs- I only hope that you reach me before I bleed out. Every time I see an elf, these things seem to happen to me. I should have stayed out with the horses instead of Neal. If you don’t reach me before I die, then watch after him. I heard some talking down the tunnel earlier about searching for the key child. If they see Neal outside the cave, they might take him like they took the other kids. I feel bad about always being so harsh with the kid.
