Dear Diary,

The world has gone crazy. It seems like I’m the sanest person I know or do all insane people think that.
It all happened a couple of days after … well the deaths. I had another vision. It wasn’t as disturbing as some of my other visions but I told Justice what I could because it might be important. I don’t know if she heard me and at that point I didn’t care.

We drove up to this hotel I think it was called the Independence or something like that in Philly. Ethan looked it up on his phone and showed me stuff about it. We were all summarily herded from the back except for Hunter because he was still sitting up with Justice. Something really bad must have happened between those two. Isaac didn’t like how I was dressed so he told me to change and sent the others in. I didn’t care so I grabbed whatever and dressed. He told me I was to old to wander around in my pajamas. Whatever.

In the lobby Justice met up with another hunter by the name of Kurt Springer. He told her the place was haunted by a specter and that a group of Hastings was here. She thanked him and turned to arrange for our rooms. The bellhops were mimes….great so we needed to find room 21 now… Must have something to do with the specter or something. I was pretty apathetic going to the room and soon as we got there I.. well I borrowed something of Ethan’s and well I climbed under the bed to be alone.. I can’t say more because I think Justice might read this and it isn’t let just say I had to get something done. . Anyhow I was there for a while.. I do remember hearing some knocking on the door and hearing Teddy talking to a stranger, a boy. I don’t know what happened next because chaos seemed to erupt.

Justice came in and started making a lot of noise knocking on the bathroom door where Ethan was. She broke down the door when he didn’t respond. I guess he had slipped and fell when he was taking his bath because he had been drowning. Justice started re…sus..it…tating him. I think is what she said. I watched because I want to learn this stuff. Teddy came in and I guess his ribs were broken by some of the Hasting kids. He also told Justice that Isaac had run off. Justice asked where he went and he wasn’t sure.

While Justice worked I also worked up my nerve to start working on the specter problem. First we had to find out about room 21. So I called to see if anyone was in there. The phone was answered by a little girl. I guess it was occupied so I hung up.. can’t search in there till the occupants leave. When he came to and recovered some Ethan helped me out a little by looking up information on the hotel to see if it had a past history. It did make me a little nervous finding out the hotel had once been a hospital. Bad things happen in hospitals

Justice told us to stay put in our room and not open the doors to anyone but her. She then left in search of Isaac. A few minutes Hunter and Lex burst into the room in a panic about Alex Hastings being here. I guess when Lex used to be a Hastings he was mentored? by a demon who is Alex. From what Lex tells us Alex is a real piece of work. Lex insisted that we leave. I didn’t want to leave because Justice told us to stay put. But I don’t really want to be alone in a hotel with a ghost and a demon and a bunch of Hastings to contend with. I guess the Hasting s group is six kids as well.

So we all grab our stuff and start shuffling towards the truck. Then I can’t remember who thought.. Maybe the Hastings have messed with truck so Ethan checked his phone and we decided to head to the local Amtrak. Where we were going to go I don’t think anyone had any ideas. Pretty soon Teddy, Peter, and Hunter catch up with Ethan, Lex, and I and they have Isaac with them who looked pretty pissed off. He started pointing a gun at Lex and telling us to search and handcuff him. It didn’t seem right. Isaac talked as if Lex had been leading us astray for the demon. Then Hunter and Teddy seemed to think something was wrong with Isaac and they pulled guns on him… And I was panicking cause everyone was acting crazy and I turned and I see Ethan stabbing himself with his knife. That was almost the last straw for me but Petey talked to me and said that we couldn’t become separated.

Well it was decided that Alex had bewitched Isaac so we handcuffed Isaac in an alley and continued towards Amtrak. Didn’t seem right to do that to Isaac. Ethan insisted going to the Rite Aide because his arm was hurt and so we headed in. I helped Ethan bandage up his arm and it was decided that non of us should go anywhere alone. Then an announcement called for us to come to the front of the store. So we left by the back. We went to a nearby parking garage to regroup and figure out what to do.

Well there was a lot of argument. Teddy watched the hotel nearby and said there was a Hastings kid doing some glyphs, a devils mark by the sound of it on the roof. He also mentioned that Desiree joined him up there. I guess shes a psychic like I am but she seems to be able to control her abilities. She started spying on what were saying… Which already had me in a panic cause Lex had just told us that Alex wasn’t just going after us because we were Donners but that he had specifically targeted us because Lex was with us and he was also after me. That’s bad… Very bad. I have no idea why a demon would be interested in me…. I mean I’m broken. I feel sometimes like a wind up toy missing the key. But any reason a demon might be interested in hunting you down can’t be a good one. Add to that my sinking suspicion that my boiler vision might have had Alex in it. I don’t want to be a my anything to a demon. This is definitely bad very very bad.

Meanwhile Desiree is reporting everything we are saying. Lex runs off telling us he would meet up with us later. Then Ethan gives me some money and his phone and tells me to get away and turns toward the hotel. Not knowing what to think or do I start walking in a random direction till we get a call from Lex. He tells us that they aren’t looking just for us that they want the Graves bible that Ethan carries around. And Ethan is heading right towards them.

I can’t help it. I start running back to the hotel hoping to help Ethan. We also get a call from Teddy who hadn’t stayed with us and he’s at the hotel as well and he heard shots. Well that ends i’m sprinting as fast as i can go. Hunter and Peter try to convince me that heading into danger is a bad idea but what if one of them gets hurt and is bleeding or dieing and we might be able to help. We are a family damn it we should stick together.

We get to the hotel and find it’s locked. Teddy meets us and tells us that he saw Alex and his kids leave, some of them sporting injuries possibly caused by bullets. He also saw another man get out who had black eyes. Teddy tried to shoot him but he walked inside and locked the door. Meanwhile we could hear sirens approaching in our direction. Well that was that I had to open that door. I start fiddling with it the way Uncle Joe had taught me. But I wasn’t fast enough and just when I was about to get the door open Hunter grabbed my hand and pulled me around the corner.

I then decided to go in through the kitchen entrance. I had found out from Ethan earlier that part of the basement was a fish restaurant. We all snuck in through the kitchen which surprisingly enough didn’t seem to notice to be panicked at all because of the gun shots and took the service elevator upstairs. We heard gun shots above us and I was praying that Lex and Ethan was all right. Our first stop was the lobby and there we saw the police officer standing over a dead or wounded stranger. The police officer had black eyes… ACK!!!!

We closed the elevator doors quickly then we went up to our room floor. I wanted to go to room 21 and see if I could find anything there but we were distracted by sound blasting from our room. So I started opening the door which was slammed shut so hard that I stumbled backwards in to Petey. About that time we got a text from Lex to stay away from the hotel. That he and Ethan were ok. Well too late for that. We proceeded to knock on the door and Lex let us in yelling that we shouldn’t have come. I was just happy everyone seemed safe. Ethan even seemed to be more like his old awesome self.

We were deciding what to do next. Between Justice missing, Isaac being possessed and a possessed cop. We had a lot on our plate. We heard a scuffle outside our room. It was Justice and Isaac. We opened our door and helped her with Isaac. She explained that she was going to fool the specter into leaving Isaac‘s body. She was going to pour salt and holy water down his throat and have Hunter recite the exorcism. According to her because we didn’t really know the spell reciting it would do nothing but between that and the salted holy water she was hoping to flush it out so to speak.

It was planned that the specter would probably show back up in the boiler room. Nothing good ever happens in basements. And that the rest of us should jump it there. The tricky thing about specters is that you can’t attack them until they are about to manifest and they only do that the split second before they are about to attack someone. Holy crap was that a scary fight. It attacked us after it had fed off some poor random spirit and we really had to fight it. I got it with the knife Justice had let me borrow. Lex was hurting it with some trinket he found in the basement that he was burning. Ethan insisted that specters don’t have fetters. Well this one sure did. Teddy got really hurt and so did Ethan because he was trying to keep the specter from hurting the others but we were able to stop it.

Isaac scooped Teddy up into his arms and we all headed for the truck. I tried to help out but I wasn’t very good. I think I just got into Isaac’s way. Working on people is hard.
