“Do not tempt me into selfishness. There was a time when I would talk about myself and what I wanted from this world for hours if not days, so long as there were attentive ears. Now, I merely say this: I am an Idol. Idols are given their purpose, we do not choose it. I will mend this world’s pain and suffering one wound at a time until it is all abolished. I can go about this work as slowly as I dare, but the desire is always there. It is that task which will consume me until my death, or until the day that The Edge consumes us all. If you are ever wounded beyond your power to heal, you will have my aid. I will never help you harm another, though. I cannot work against my purpose, any more than you can beat back the Edge with a stick.”
An Idol residing in a compound at 18 Damish Road in Central Periad. Galin is, by appearances, a dark-skinned woman of middling age. She is not known to smile overmuch, and her wiry hair pulled tight into a single knot seems to be as much convenience as it is appearance. Her compound is a place of gardens and still pools of water, only sand walkways winding between the rooms that fill its stony walls. Somewhere within, those that need healing receive it, but that activity is well hidden from mere visitors. Galin herself is rarely seen outside of the garden at the center of the complex, meditating as she does to regain the power she uses.
Galin only makes those that can afford it pay for her services. Though being in debt to an Idol could have its own unfortunate consequences. She is also an efficient enchanter of magical items for healing and restoration, but it is hard to convince her to produce anything that she believes will be used violently, or to waste her power on anything but healing.
