Zyras the All Consuming

The neverborn spiritual being has wielded great power in the Underworld for thousands of years. In that time, the spirit called itself Zyras, Dis Pater, Father Wealth, Dike, or Hecabe Morta, and has subtly influenced the living and undead descendants of the Giovanni family with varying degrees of success. The spirit has many mortal followers, especially ones who were members of magic and scientific circles looking to tear down the shroud. Originally, the Malfean planned to rule and judge both the residents of the Shadowlands and Skinlands after the Sixth Great Maelstrom consumed the underworld, but like the other spirits in the underworld, the spirit was caught unaware by the ferocity of the storm.

The Kuei-jin known as Mara, rescued by the cabal from the Mirage hotel, claims that Dis Pater is the Malfean who lairs in the spiritual counterpart of the Mirage hotel in the Underworld.

In mythology, Dis Pater, or Dispater was a Roman god of the underworld, alter subsumed by Pluto or Hades. Originally a chthonic god of riches, fertile agricultural land, and underground mineral wealth, he was later commonly equated with the Roman deities Pluto and Orcus, becoming an underworld deity. In literature, Dis Pater was commonly used as a symbolic and poetic way of referring to death itself.

In greek mythology, Dike is a feminine spirit of moral order and fair judgment based on immemorial custom, in the sense of socially enforced norms and conventional rules.
