I have some bad news guys. Game start is going to be delayed another day or two. Something came up and I want to take the extra time to get everything sorted out properly so I can kick this thing off right.
Alrighty kiddies, game day is tomorrow. Be ready! And we have just enough time for a quick game before we game. More like a quiz, but it still should be fun and get everyone a little more in touch with who their character is. Keeping in mind that 1 dot is a novice and 5 dots is the peak of human ability, I want each of you to send me a message justifying the expenditure of each skill point on your character sheet.
If you guys have time take a look at the Rolz dice roller, and see if you like it compared to the umbral echoes one. It has the advantage of giving us a “semi”-private room. Although, like what was commented on when it was posted anything other than 10-agains would need to be rerolled manually.
If you paint based on the real world and what you know about how colors play off each other, or just painting something such as a portrait then it’s craft. If you paint based on something more intangible, such as a feeling, a thought, or a desire, I’d argue an expression roll is more appropriate. Same with photography. If your ghoul uses her knowledge of lighting, colors, and angles to try and take pictures I’d say craft. If she just takes pictures on what she thinks would look nice then I’d say Expression.
Try out this dice roller, just put in something like 5d10m8, it’ll reroll all the 10s and tell you the successes. You’ll just have to manually re-roll 9s if you need to.Dice Roller!!! Rolz!!!
1. On the character page on the top left side, under comments there’ll be a button that says “Make new character.” It’ll start the process. There’ll be a drop down menu on the next page, scroll through until you get to Mage the Awakening and pick that one. It’ll bring up a sheet. Almost everything will be click to edit(except for name, player, and chronicle, which are filled in automatically). When you’re done just hit the create button at the bottom.

2. I think Riff-Raff from the Rocky Horror Picture show resembles our illustrious Mr. Caine. Then again, maybe it’s just me…
We will be working with a mostly present day setting. It doesn’t have to be super in depth, but it should explain where you came from, why you are where you are now, and any plans for the future.
Character showing up all over the place now… No rush because there’s plenty of time, but I’d like to see backstories too, so I can start getting a feel for how your characters fit into the world so I can finish all my evil plottings.
I am considering human, just for the lulz. However if I do that, I will be playing one of two options (both female) either a awesome ninja with poison weapons who is also a student, or a punkish gang leader who mainly fights with her fists. I will probably use Keiko (the ninja) but I know if another all mortal game arises, I will use her again.
Exactly! You’ll all live together, complain about how much your bills are and how much your jobs suck, and try and discover if the angry superintendent of your apartments is really a cranky, old, jerk, or just someone in need of a friend. ;-p
I plan on updating the obsidian portal with most of the basic information about what’s going on with the game while I get myself situated to start running it. Any idea what you’d like to be yet, so I can be prepared?
hmm… not sure :/ we were talking about your game yesterday though. it was interesting, apparently it is going to be like a sitcom where a wide variety of supernaturals live together in the same home. so far, everyone is thinking of being something different.

The game, unless everyone is done before, will be beginning on 1/11/12. If you’re not done you can still join in, it’ll just be after everyone else.
