The adventure took the party north in pursuit of the assassin. The group recruited Rabbit, a tracker of sorts. After a few days of travel a town was met that provided shelter and rest for our weary travelers. The following night our adventures encountered our assassin. It was a troublesome, weary battle. The assassin, was eventually felled, and the party rejoiced finding several interesting pieces and taking them back to Tannersport without event.
The first three days of travel passed without incident with the group having decided to travel by land as opposed to by sea. With more than half of the journey out of the way, the adventurers grew comfortable in the fact that they may arrive without any trouble. However, early in the morning on their fourth day, the camp was attacked by four monstrous dire wolves during Squeench’s watch.
The battle was a fierce one. Throughout the fight, Reynard’s beloved war horse Lucille was nearly killed, and one of the riding horses was unfortunately not so lucky. Despite several near death experiences amongst the group, The first wolf was slain by the combined efforts of Oren, Squeench, and Boris, who delivered the killing blow. The second wolf was once again slain by Boris, who continued to fight while nearly unconscious from the ground. With the combined efforts of Yorrick, Squeench, and Boris. The third wolf died by Squeench’s arrow and fourth by Reynard’s blade. Despite many close calls, the group was able to spend their fourth day camped out as they recuperated and regathered their remaining horses for the remainder of the journey.
Boris continued his drunken carousing with the dwarves only to find himself naked and hung over. He bid his new friends farewell after being told that he’s been hired as a sellsword to investigate the events surrounding the arrival of a mysterious and bloated man.
Squeench threatened to cut off the mysterious man’s finger in an attempt to claim the ring that’s symbol eluded those that found him. Though eventually he was dissuaded by Oren and Reynard. After awakening the mysterious man and getting a few words out of him, all signs seemed to point to some sort of cargo lost around Ship Breaker’s Bay. The town elders assembled a small group of adventurers to explore the area and see what all this talk of “gaping maws” and “endless teeth” is about.
Yorick found himself pursuing what appeared to be a child thief through the festival crowds with the help of his falcon Randall. Despite losing the boy, he heard of several other such instances upon his return to the enclave that evening. He relayed his findings to Tom Cudgel, who believes that these thief “children” are in fact a group of halflings that have arrived in the region. However, before he can investigate this, Yorick is recruited to join in the journey to Ship Breaker’s Bay.
The adventurers gathered and made their plans to embark on their trip at the beginning of the next day.
Boris meets dwarves and sleeps with wenches.
Squeench yells at elves and strangers.
Reynard buys everyone a beer.
Oren wanders the streets, receives an ill omen, and finds a man washed ashore.
