Highland is a largely wild nation, made up of tribal clans who for the most part feel no need to stay in contact or maintain a permanent national capital. as such, if a national decision needs to be made, the clans are gathered to Destiny peak, one of the few mountains in a region that is mostly grassland.

Highland did not initiate the break with Lux; Rather, it was a troublesome colony for Lux, and when the Tenebrae war started they were forced to withdraw their armies. this means that although Highland is De Facto a seperate territory, it is legally still part of the old empire.

Most of the inhabitants of Highland are elves and other fey creatures, although the place attracts all kinds.
