The Land of Gold

East of Falstaff and just south of Wurmtooth Forest, the blandly-named Black River Bridge is a large edifice of stone that dates back to the time of the Orgoth. It is the only way across the river for many miles in either direction, and has long been a source of trade for Falstaff. In years past the bridge was prey to bandits and highwaymen who would waylay travelers, but recently the increased Khadoran presence and the construction of Fort Vanar have eliminated that entirely. The bridge is large and strong enough for an army to cross with warjacks, and the Khadorans built a rail line across it, further increasing the strategic value of both the bridge and Falstaff.
