Climate
The climate of the Middle Isles is a fairly temperate one. Most isles in the center of the known world enjoy what we would term a Mediterranean clime. Only in the far south, in the scorching dry sands south of Zehid, and in the north, in the wintry Eshem Mountains, are the most extremes of temperature witnessed.
To the East and West, both the islands of Thyrmia and Riaba generally see somewhat less rainfall than the rest of the Middle Isles.
The Middle Isles live in deathly fear of cyclones, massive, swirling storms that can wash away a fleet, coastal village, or entire atoll in just a few hours.
