Chthon was a great wizard from Cynidicea – the capital city of a long-gone civilization of subterranean humans. It is not known whether the items bearing his name are his actual body parts, and if they are, whether they gained their power before or after being removed from his body.

Strangely, both items are immune to divination magic.
