While in Darkot after the night of research, Tallus was told there was a man in the temple who was asking to speak directly to Tallus. He wouldn’t even introduce himself to anyone except to say that he was an old acquaintance and that he wondered what happened to the scepter.
Though nervous, Tallus agreed to find and talk to the man, whom he recognized the moment they saw one anther. It was Kelvin Feaselhoff. The two of them had a lengthy conversation during which Tallus learned thy Fesselhoff is now a Clairvoyant, sometimes called Blood Seers. They were an ancient cult of Wee Jas who serve as the origin for boogeyman stories. The cult was supposedly exterminated centuries upon centuries before Tallus or anyone he has ever met was born. It is unclear how Fesselhoff came upon his power.
What is clear is that the former leader of the Army of Undeath is scared of Eltab, the King of Kings who now resides on Carceri, though he was once confined to his own circle of hell. Fesselhoff would like Tallus to arrange a meeting with the rest of the Unlikely Darkotians. In the end, Tallus said he’d see what he could do.
