The Age of Giants
The first social intelligent beings to roam the lands known today as the Ruby Mountains were giants. Driven from their native lands by the gods, they spent their exile roaming the lands forever in constant conflict between tribes. The Ruby Mountains surrounded by lush forests on one side and a rich ocean on the other made the perfect settlement location for a tribe of giants. Over the years the giant population dwindled from the various battles against each other. Not much else is known about the Age of the Giants, for few have survived a conversation with these violent people.
When the Dwarves emerged from the mountains during a the Dwarven Feud between clans, the giants did not want to share their land with these small folk. Constant strife between these two opposites ensued and teams of dwarves raided giant camps for supplies and wealth. Likewise, the Giants did their best to flush out the Dwarves by flooding their tunnels and destroying their mining operations. Many on both sides fell in battle until they were forced to work together against a much greater evil, the Undead Infestation.
