Law is a fluid thing in The Kingdom. Each city is entrusted to their own laws so long as they are loyal to Ocelotl and pay due tribute. The priestesses are the final arbiters, but they may appoint lesser citizens to act as judges. Judges act with wisdom, and do the will of the priestesses as they see fit.

Lawbreakers are punished by the army. Beatings are the most common punishment, though severe crimes call for disfigurement or death. In civil disputes fines are usually levied to one or both sides. Imprisonment is all but unheard of.
