Adventurer – While this term may seem obvious, in the Verden Realms it has special meaning. An adventurer is a person who, for an amazing variety of reasons, has entered the business of dealing with the problems that the regular people of the Valley are ill-equipped to handle, like goblin lairs, dragon issues, and magic gone wrong. On average, adventurers are more remarkable either physically, mentally, or both than the regular person on the street. Even in the kingdoms in which noble pedigree is of utmost importance, such as Marda and Mordova, adventurers can gain a substantial amount of wealth and respect.
Aesthetic – A term used usually to define anyone using a psionic power focus. Usually this is used to specifically describe a monk, but can be used as a general term for any psionic person. For some unknown reason, aesthetics are rare in the Valley of Viori…
Yahduah – Simply put, a Yauduah is any weakening between planes that makes it possible to travel between them. Unfortunately, it is rarely that simple. The vast majority of known Yahduah are sporadically appearing, though some do follow a timed or seasonal pattern. Even more frustrating for those who would attempt to understand them is their general trend towards random destinations on whichever plane they go to, though most Yahduah will almost always be to the same plane each time, just not the same location. Yahduah are most often between the Firm and Dream, but Yahduah to the Underfoot or other, stranger locations are rumored.
