The Watcher of the Mists

Main Page —> Miscellaneous

Flayleaf is an edible leafy herb that has a mild narcotic effect. It is one of the most commonly used illegal drugs in the northern Inner Sea region. The plant is an annual, and grows as a short, leafy bunch, like leaf lettuce or mustard. The leaves are bright green with reddish streaks, and are somewhat stringy. The leaves can be eaten raw or cooked when young, but become extremely bitter and stringy as the plant matures. The leaves are usually harvested, dried, shredded, and smoked in special pipes, but the young leaves also have the narcotic effect if eaten.

Flayleaf is said to make the user feel mildly euphoric and give a clarity of mind and purpose, but also feel very sleepy and lethargic.

Flayleaf is technically illegal in all of Magnimar’s territory, and while it’s not sold openly in Sandpoint, private use of small amounts is generally tolerated by most (including the Sheriff).
