I thought i would keep quiet given that you are already doing Aran (which i must say looks very good). If your lacking for subjects i could describe another of my characters but i thought i would give everyone else a chance to use your talents first.

Okay cheers Matt! I’ll begin the stomping picture, but I might have to pester Lucy for a good description of Cass. All I remember is that she’s “a little girl with a big axe”. I feel an overwhelming compulsion to give her pig tails and freckles, just to make the image that much more ridiculous, but hopefully Lucy will give me something concrete ;]

One other thing, the statues, were they statues of Kaius-dynasty warlords? Or just fightery types? Stone weapons of any sort?

If you’ve got time, a picture of the stone statue attempting to stamp on Cass might be a good single shot to do. And pleased to hear you got the job!

My other request, if you’ve got time, would be for a portrait of Lord Parran – however you choose to see him.

Character Portrait Offer:

I recently obtained some largish sheets of thick artboard stuff (a little smaller than A3) that I hope to scribble all over, and I thought to myself “what better way to ruin some perfectly good art materials than by drawing D&D characters on them?”, so if anyone would like a portrait drawn of their characters I’d be happy to give it a shot.

I’ve begun a portrait of Aran Thule, which Charles seemed pleased with… that’s about as far as my credentials run. I can’t promise your character will look exactly how you imagine them, but you can help by giving me as detailed a description as possible, down to jewellery, accessories, how they wear their hair, facial expressions, scars, unless you want to leave any of that up to me. But I think the way to get best results would be to be pretty specific in the beginning. I start a new full-time job on Monday, so now is the perfect time to take advantage of my time!

Another thing you might like to suggest would be a particularly memorable moment from the campaign so far that you’d like to see illustrated. One that immediately springs to mind is Dave’s character, Elwanen, fey-stepping up on to that raised glowing green plinth and smiting evil. Of course, they could just be posing in a seedy tavern somewhere, or loitering, picking their nose waiting for their turn. Come on, we’ve all done it some time.

So if you’re interested, leave a message here or, ideally, email me at jwpaterson (at) hotmail (dot) com. Of course, it’s all free.

I’m just glad I was finally able to get a venue sorted so I can begin to play.
