The dominant system in its little corner of the Crossroads Sector, New Muir has long prospered as a producer of microchips and luxury goods.

A recent civil war led to the overthrow of New Muir’s decadent monarchy by a downtrodden working class. In an ironic twist, the replacement “Workers’ Rule” government was organized with heavy influence from Commonwealth infiltrators. New Muir is now largely run as a puppet state, fulfilling directives issued by the Unity System’s Commonwealth authority.

Together, New Muir and Unity now form a reinforced belt of Commonwealth control reaching along the entire rimward edge of the Crossroads Sector.
