House Corliss

This merchant house set itself up to deal with supplying merchant caravans everything they need to make their travels. As such they have dealings and interests in, among others, the Wainwrights Guild, the Bakers Guild, Blacksmiths Guild, and the Livery Guild.

The House is not among the wealthiest, but it is far from the least wealthy. Since it brings in monies to several guilds, it has some ability to negotiate good terms with them. Politically, as long as their business is unhampered, House Corliss does not get involved with the rulers or affecting change. The do spend a lot of time making sure the roads in the city are in good repair and other civic improvements are made to help make the city more attractive to prospective merchants and traders.
