Trouble in the Silver Marches

Arcane magic heavy campaign set in the Silver Marches.

D&D (3.5)

First Entry

“I am Belak, the Outcast. My druidic circle expelled me, the fools, because I dared to expand nature’s reach in ways their puny minds could not grasp. I will show them when I return to rip their bodies apart.”

A Few entries later…

“The tree is beautiful. It lives, though it looks dead. Long ago, it seems, a vampire was staked to the earth with a green stake, and it took root, and so grew the Gulthias Tree. It reverberates with dark primal power and I wil,l learn how to tap into it.”

Several entries about seasonal growing and weather patterns…

“I don’t know who that woman is, but she offers me good gold and the chance to spread Gulthias’ influence. Its saplings, grown from the seeds of its fruits, have minds of their own, yet I can control them through Gulthias. Soon I will be able to destroy my old Circle for their folly.”

There follows some discussion of planting experiments.

“Supplicants! Gulthias has revealed to me that it can transform people into Supplicants to serve it and me. I cannot wait to try it, perhaps with a goblin as a test.”

More rants against his old circle and the taking of his revenge in great gory detail.

“Success! Two Supplicants from those adventurers who thought to invade my domain. Now how to draw more in?”
