Cornu

Cornlings remain nameless as infants, receiving names only upon obtaining a distinguishing characteristic/behavior/event. Upon reaching majority, Cornu take names for themselves, but recognition of a Cornu’s name is a communal aknowledgement of maturity, and a Cornu can be swiftly humbled by a scathing reference to his Cornling name.
If a Cornu has merited the punishment of Severing, that Cornu’s name gains the appelation Severed, e.g. Severed Otamu. Often, other Cornu refer to the severed cornu solely by the appelation. Cornu do not need family names, but may incorporate famous kin into their cornling or chosen names.
