Description: A finely crafted and highly enchanted longsword. Along with a number of other items, Esmerelda discovered this sword in a chest left to her by Sterran (her grandfather). The magic of the blade seems to be specially attuned to Esmerelda. It allows her to channel her musical spell-casting abilities. The blade also seems to grow in power as Esmerelda does.
Weapon Type: Long sword
Magical Enhancement: +2
Damage Dice: d8/d12 (S-M/L)
Speed Factor: 3
Channel Spell: When Esmerelda casts spells through the songblade, it adds its enhancement bonus to any relevant dice rolls
Echo Spell: When a spell is cast through the songblade it echoes through the blade, effectively storing the magical energy of the spell. The wielder can then recast the spell a second time. This power can only be used a number of times, per encounter, equal to the level of enhancement bonus.
Shout of Triumph: Esmerelda can hold the blade aloft and channel a powerful musical shout through the blade. The blade creates a pulse of sound, centered on the caster, in a ten foot radius. All enemies in the area of effect are subject to the attack. All enemies are pushed back 10 feet. An attack roll must be made against each enemy at a plus 3 bonus. Enemies that are hit suffer a d6 plus 4 points of damage and are pushed back 10 feet and knocked to the ground. A save versus petrify negates the knock down effect, but not the push back. This power can only be used once per encounter.
