The Slag Valleys

South of the Vycarian Spires the Slag Valleys are a vicious by-product of centuries of extensive mining in the area. Once known as the Isernan Channels, the mineral deposits of the valleys were extensively mined and smelted on the same sites, the vitreous by products piling up beside the mine shafts.

As the isern, or gods metal deposits began to shrink, and the slag deposits become much more prevalent, the dwarves abandoned the valleys, leaving thousands of razor-sharp piles of detritus behind.

In dwarven culture the slag valleys are most recently known for the fall of Gran Hammerfist at the hands of Vickul.
