Werewolf: The Forsaken

My peeps

April 28, 2008 20:38

Since I’ve introduced myself, I feel that it’s only natural to give a bit of info on my peeps. We’ve been playing together for some time now and we’ve gotten to know each other well (maybe a bit too well in some areas). A quick person might be able to look at my friend’s list and jump around to find out about my roleplaying troupe. So I’ll try to say something new (or at least phrase it differently). Without further delay, the Tuesday Night Club consists of (in descending order):

  1. AJ:I met AJ while working part-time in a retail warehouse. Neither of us are sure how it happenend, but somehow we got on the topic of D&D. I was looking to play again, he had a seat available at his table. In the beginning, he was the only GM, but with the hit adventure (read albatross around the neck) of the Black Band, we soon shared that duty. Stats: GMing(module specialty):3 Fathering:2 Dog-loving:3 Rule Mastery:5 Watching Friend’s Movies:1 Wine Drinking:4 Manhattan Drinking:4 Beer Drinking:4 Guitar Playing:2 Movie Quoting(Star Wars specialty):4 Anime Tolerance:1 Computers(programming specialty):3
  1. John:John was part of the group that I joined through AJ. He’s run one or two short-lived campaigns that were right out of a Woo film (minus all the fluttering doves, thank God). His characters are also steeped in blood. Along with Mike, we’ve played a couple smaller stories which had some of the best roleplaying moments I’ve ever had. Stats: Character Creation(a$$-kicker specialty):4 Dice Reading:1 Diplomacy(Racial penalty to inner party strife):1 Powdered Doughnut Eating:5 Meat Cutting:3 Fishing(guppie and weed specialty):2 Cell Phone Tones:2 Character Fetish(burning):5 Anime Tolerance:2
  1. Mike:Mike is also part of the group that I joined through AJ. He and I see eye to eye on a lot of issues about roleplaying (more role, less roll), but we differ on a lot too (just ask John, there’s a reason why he’s hairless after our all-nighters). His characters, as stated just about everywhere else, like to be original, and it doesn’t hurt for them to have innate magic. Mostly, though, I appreciate the fact that I can share my anime with the guy. Stats: Firearms(rifle specialty):2 Vegetable Eating:0 Character Creation(Annoying the DM with wanting to play something unique specialty):2 Home Repair:1 Luck(Racial Penalty against dice-rolling):1 Anime Tolerance:3 Detail Roleplaying(Tying shoes specialty):5 Salt Using:5 Fishing:3 Being There For Friends:5
  1. Becca:Our token female player joined after being a voyeur at our weekly meetings. Originally a tag along to her boyfriend (now husband), AJ, she eventually stepped up to the plate and started playing. Honestly, if it wasn’t for keeping the peace, we would have kicked her to the curb long ago (especially for her harsh name calling…..geek…sniff,sniff). Actually, she’s come up with some very neat characters and stories, probably because she’s smarter than the rest of us. Stats: Smartiness(Racial Penalty against Lording it over Us):4 Mothering:3 Sarcasm:2 Anime Tolerance:1 Smothering Helpless NPCs:2 Dog-loving:3 Lawyering(Working at Home specialty):4 Tollhouse Baking:5 Putting up with AJ(Side Snickering specialty):5 Character Creation(Gender Bending Specialty):3 GMing(Political intrigue specialty):4 Typing:4
  1. Chris:I met Chris through a mutal friend in my Freshman year of High School. He was one of the first people I ever roleplayed with. Like most long term friends, we’ve had our ups and downs, but our friendship has stood for almost 20 years. I don’t think anything’s gonna change there. He likes his characters powerful enough to get away with just about anything. While some of his characterizations have been the butt of many a joke, there have been some real gems of roleplaying (of which I’d love to see more). Stats: Car Buying:5 Beer Drinking:1 Mushroom Eating:0 Comic Books(Hulk specialty):4 Movie Character Worship(Ash specialty/Conan specialty):5 Science(life sciences):3 Hero Clicking:3 Pain Tolerance:1 Video Gaming:4 Clothes Smelling Like Smoke:3 Teaching:3 GMing:2 Character Creation(Mischief Makers specialty):3
  1. Giorgo:Giorgo was an acquaintance of mine in High School. In my yearbook, he wrote that he had to play a Fighter/Bard. Not much later, when a member of our troupe left for Florida (pour one for our homie, Gurge), he got his chance. His characters tend to be quite, but Giorgo must be commended on playing each and every one of them exactly as he sees them (sometimes to the dismay of the GM). Stats: Enigmas:5 Hockey Fandom:3 Scathing Wit(Pointing out Stupidity specialty):3 Dancing(Salsa specialty):2 Fashion Sense:3 Beer Testing:5 Keeping in Shape:3 Playing with AJ’s Kids:3 Character Creation(Racial Penalty against getting done first):4 Managing Restaurants:3 Engineering(Civil specialty):3

Thanks for the compliments. However, three dots are reserved for people that can do those things for a living, or as a major part of their job. For example, SWAT members and marksmen get three dots in firearms.

Hey…It’s a conscience choice to design kitchens, I would be in SWAT or Special Ops, but I don’t play well with others, or authority.
